Way to go, Obama. How about putting a stop to the bullshit bounty, or Spike Lee helping to track down George Zimmerman.

Mistaken Spike Lee Re-Tweet Causes Couple In Their 70s To Leave Home In Fear

A Sanford, Florida couple in their 70s has had to vacate their home abruptly, after a Twitter user mistakenly posted their address as belonging to George Zimmerman, the Sanford neighborhood watch volunteer who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin last month.

The tweet gained widespread play when it was re-tweeted by director Spike Lee, causing a flood of negative feedback to the septuagenarian couple, according to the Orlando Sentinel. The couple has relocated to a local hotel, their son Chip Humble told the paper, after receiving harassing mail, media inquiries and concern from neighbors.

Trayvon Martin Shooting: George Zimmerman Says Investigation Is A 'Witch Hunt'

The wife, 70, and husband, 72, have no ties to George Zimmerman, though the woman’s son is named William George Zimmerman, and he lived with her back in 1995 after he finished college.

William, who lives in Central Florida, told the paper Tuesday, “This is really scary, and I'm concerned for my family: It's scary because there are people who aren't mentally right and will take this information and run with it."

William said when he explained the situation to the accountholder who originally tweeted the address, he received the response: "Black power all day. No justice, no peace" along with obscenities.

Seriously, will you show where Obama started the witch hunt, or are you going to continue to ignore that request until Hannity or Drudge or Newt tell you exactly what to say or think.

I know where and how Obama started the witch hunt, and I don't listen to Hannity, visit Drudge, or give a crap about Newt. If the President can take the time to comment on this shooting, it would make sense if he could also take the time to call for people to stand down and let the legal process continue. But, he can't or won't do that, which pretty much confirms every divisive thing I think about the guy.

It isn't legal to put a bounty on a private citizen's head. Where is the Justice Department? Oh, wait...

You can get confirmation anywhere you look if you want to find it there, I suppose.

Ah yes, another completely absurd statement.

41 blacks have been murdered by other blacks the past two weeks (including a 6 year-old) in Chicago alone. There is a gang war. I must have missed the national debate over it?

Which has what to do with your statement he quoted, you responded to, that the average inner-city democrat has two prior arrests for assaulting police officers and domestic abuse?

Oh, I know it was an absurd statement. This entire thing is absurd. Bounties on Zimmerman's head, innocent senior citizens being chased from their homes because of Spike Lee, the President pouring gasoline on some coals and then skipping away to South Korea ... it's a really absurd commentary of what this nation has become under this president.

This entire country is as absurd and divided as I've ever seen it. I mean, quite literally, open bounties on somebody's head? Congressional hearings on this shooting, led by the Congressional Black Caucus? Fucking shameful.

pouring gasoline. LOL. what a joke.

I wonder if the Great Uniter will return the $1.6 million he picked up at this January 2012 fundraiser not that Spike Lee (incorrectly) Tweeted out Zimmerman's address.

Spike Lee Hosts President Obama Fundraiser, Tweets Photos & Commentary

President Obama appeared at a star-studded series of fundraisers on Thursday in New York City, including one at the home of filmmaker Spike Lee.

In his opening remarks, the President said that he took the First Lady to see Lee's film "Do The Right Thing" on their first date; Lee quipped that it was a good thing they hadn't gone to see "Driving Miss Daisy."

The filmmaker, who told WPIX that the White House first approached him about the fundraiser, kept an active Twitter commentary during the event.

Before the event, he tweeted, "WAKE UP.DJ Speeezzzy Leeezzzy Is Dedicating Gonna Be A Beautiful Night BY Prince To The President Of These United States-BARACK OBAMA.Ya Dig."

Stars such as Mariah Carrey and Nick Cannon attended the event, which cost up to $38,500 a plate. During his speech, the President said, "Everybody in this room is going to be doing fine -- but for children and grandchildren and future generations who are going to be able to proudly say that America continues to be the land of opportunity."

During Obama's speech, Lee wrote, "POTUS Is Finishing Answering Questions To The Folks Who Wrote A Big Check.People Are Fired Up.We Have To Put On The Grind For 4 More Years."

As the event finished, he wrote, "A Great Night.I Heard We Raised 1.6 Million Dollars From The Dinner Tonight. The President After The Q&A Shook Hands And Took Pictures.Ya-Dig."

Lee also posted a photo of the President and a custom pair of Michael Jordan sneakers that were made bearing the Presidential Seal, writing, "President Obama Is A Huge Bulls And Jordan Fan.Here He Holds His Gift Of Spizikes From MJ Himself.YO."

pouring gasoline. LOL. what a joke.

Yeah, innocent people are having their home vandalized and had to leave it. LMAOROFLfunny!!

There is a congressional hearing on it today. That wouldn't have happened had your hero not opened his divisive mouth and then ran off to South Korea.

my hero. right. you're absolutely correct.
this country was so united and happy together up until 4 years ago. Such a shame he single handedly brought down all the kumbaya campouts. fucking clueless.

Sad thing is, you're embracing the divisiveness. Bush was a moron, but at least he didn't pull blatant racial shit like this stuff.

What is the evidence? That's basically what we're looking for here that no one has provided.

If he isn't supposed to be carrying a firearm, where is the weapons charge?

What law did he break by following a suspicious person?

The evidence is a dead teen, shot with Zimmerman's gun.

Here is today's America. This idiot US Representative got up, completely had no idea what he was talking about, called this a hate crime, and refused to take off his hoodie.

I don't embrace it. You just choose to continue it by pretending it only comes from one area, and blaming said area for all the divisiveness.
Blatant racial shit, but you can't tell me where or how he fueled the fire of a witch hunt. What he said din't do what you think it does, but it helps your story, that he is divisive and creating some sort of race riot. Whatever you choose to believe. It's all Barry's fault!!

It's amazing without going there how you are able to nail front page Drudge stuff. Just uncanny how in tune you are with the other talking heads. Amazing!

I did check out Drudge. You mentioned it, so I checked it out. I think I'll check it out more often, because I see none of this one the news right now. Of course, the main news is the USSC openly mocking Obama's lawyers in oral arguments. Highly entertaining!

Here is something else from Drudge. Didn't know this either, and I wouldn't say it helps out Zimmerman/whitey (or Hispanics, but whatever).

Sanford Police Originally Wanted To Charge Zimmerman

SANFORD (CBSMiami) – New information now contradicts Sanford police chief’s initial claims that there wasn’t enough probable cause to arrest George Zimmerman in the murder of 17-year old Trayvon Martin.

Angela Corey, a special prosecutor assigned to case by Gov. Rick Scott, told CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald that early in the investigation police requested an arrest warrant from the Seminole County State Attorney’s Office.

An incident report on the shooting classified it as “homicide/negligent manslaughter.”

Corey said police did file a capias (a request that charges be filed) with the State Attorney’s Office.

The Seminole County State Attorney’s Office declined to comment on whether its prosecutors ever recommended against filing charges.

So, what's the supposed charge, based on the police report and witness testimony?

no charge. Well, maybe have a charge with insufficient evidence to get a conviction.

just infinite detention while they build their case. Denny's a big fan of this, if you haven't heard.

Manslaughter, at least.

In Florida, manslaughter, defined as: The killing of a human being by the act, procurement, or culpable negligence of another, without lawful justification according to the provisions of chapter 776 and in cases in which such killing shall not be excusable homicide or murder . . . is a second degree felony punishable by up to 15 years in state prison regardless of whether the act may have been intentional or not.[2] If manslaughter is committed upon a child via culpable negligence under FL statute 827.03(3), then the crime is aggravated manslaughter of a child which is a first degree felony punishable by up to 30 years in state prison.[3] The penalty is the same if it is committed upon the elderly or disabled. Also, under the 10-20-Life system, if a firearm is used in any way then the penalty will be raised to the next degree.[4]

lawful justification is he was acting in self defense.

The available information doesn't point to manslaughter, though. Unless you just want to change the known facts in order to try and get a conviction, of course. You need the known facts to point to the actual charge. You can't just charge, and then hope you find the facts to fit the charge during an investigation. LOL

If that's the case, why not just charge first-degree homicide for every shooting, and make the charged plead down from that point? I don't think you understand at all how the DA's office goes about its business.

the known FACTS can point to manslaughter, if you take out Zimmerman's statements as facts. I don't understand why his statements,as the one who pulled the trigger, would be considered facts in the case.
