Oh... If the poor left only knew this is the type of culture they are allowing with their protests:
A fairly recent (TEMPORARY) ban at a Starbucks, because a wall fell down, separating families from "single" people. Love me some Muslim religion.

This seems to be on some power trip type level regardless of your political leanings. This shit is absolute chaos. Reminds me of my last year in the Army. We got a new company commander who wanted to come in and let EVERYBODY know who was in charge. He got rid of mechanics and cooks, anybody he could to try and show that he was The Man.....Ironically 6 months in got busted for a DUI on base by his own troops. I have a feeling this administration will end with some sort of crazy meltdown.....just hope the cameras are rolling.

It is true he's letting everyone know who's in charge.

Draining the swamp means a lot of people are going to be let go.

This woman deserved to be fired. Hilariously, CNN had a panel on last night to try and get some really smart/"important" people to say Trump did something wrong. Two prominent ones:

Alan Dershowitz said she deserved to be fired - it's not her job to decide the morality of the E.O., which is mostly constitutional and legal.

Carl Bernstein said this was in no way like the Nixon Saturday Night Massacre. In that one, Nixon fired the AG who wouldn't fire the special prosecutor who was investigating Nixon. This is no obstruction of justice.

I told you guys she would get fired. You can't defy a legal order in her position because you think its immoral, or you're an Obama shill.

Trump's EO is neither illegal or immoral. We have a right to protect our country and people to not have a right to come into the USA, it's a privilege.

Could you imagine the legal ramifications if coming into the USA was a right for foreign nationals; they could sue for injury for every single American right they were not allowed to have. The entire world could sue the USA. People are being completely ridiculous about this TEMPORARY travel ban and refugee stop.

FYI I just heard he allowed 870 some odd refugees in.

Trump's E.O. is immoral.

Every Person (that means people who travel here) are entitled to almost all the rights of citizens. The few they are not allowed are the vote and maybe enlisting in the military.

The woman should have resigned in protest. That would have been sympathetic.

Instead, she looks like a bitter partisan.

To add to my previous post...

This is supposed to be a FREE COUNTRY. Not just for citizens, but for anyone in the world.

Being allowed to come in after approval is different than having a blanket right to come in regardless. It's a privilege to travel here. But once you are here, I assume you have basic American rights during your stay. I don't dispute that.

“If the views the president wants to execute is unlawful, should the attorney general or deputy attorney general say no?” Sessions asked.

“Senator, I believe the attorney general or the deputy attorney general has the obligation to follow the law and the Consitution and to give their independent legal advice to the president,” she responded.

Unfortunately for her, the order is legal. They had the entire Trump legal team have a crack at it, including policy advisers.

The President can determine who can come in and out of this country w/regards to National Security. Considering these 7 countries are labeled as harboring terrorists, as well as the entire Obama security council indicating that terrorists were mixing in with Syrian refugees, I think what he did was perfectly correct.

And Yates thought it was illegal.

"thought" doesn't mean "is". She made somewhat of a martyr out of herself. She was days away from stepping down. This is all a show she put on.

She should have given her guidance to the president in person and in private.

Her public defiance and statement dared Trump to fire her and fire her he did. Rightly so.

Good riddance.
Or maybe POTUS should have consulted her before signing the EO. I didn't know the AG was supposed to be a stooge for POTUS. Sessions certainly didn't think so.

Courts determine whether it is legal or not. Opinions are the only thing that exist until a court decides it's legality.

The EO imposes a 90-day suspension of immigrant and non immigrant admission of aliens from countries designated in section 217(a)(12) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), which excludes aliens who have been present in a specified country from participating in the Visa Waiver program.

The president’s authority to declare such suspensions can been found in section 212(f) of the INA, the pertinent part of which reads as follows:

"(f) Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate."
The 90-day suspension can be waived on a case-by-case basis.

The EO also suspends the Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days to permit the secretaries of the State Department and DHS, and the Director of National Intelligence to review the refugee screening process to determine “what additional procedures should be taken to ensure that those approved for refugee admission do not pose a threat to the security and welfare of the United States” and to implement the additional procedures.

The EO uses the president’s authority under section 212(f) to suspend the entry of nationals of Syria from the refugee program until it has been determined that the new screening procedures are sufficient “to ensure that admission of Syrian refugees is consistent with the national interest.”

Syria has been on the State Sponsors of Terrorism list since that list’s inception on December 29, 1979. Countries are put on this list when the State Department has determined that they have repeatedly provided support for acts of international terrorism.

The State Department also has found that, “Syria is a source and destination country for men, women, and children subjected to forced labor and sex trafficking.”
