One of the dozens of detainees at LAX -- held since Donald Trump's "Muslim ban" went into effect -- is a Croatian citizen, according to the ACLU ... which is odd because Croatia is NOT one of the 7 banned countries.

Sources connected to the ACLU, who are on the ground at LAX, tell TMZ the Croatian woman flew into LAX from Paris this weekend. We're told she was forced to sign docs surrendering her tourist visitor's visa to enter the U.S. ... and she is set to be flown back to Paris.

Did you watch the video? Are you claiming Rudy was lying? He asked Rudy how to legally ban Muslims. And Rudy came up with the bones of the EO.

I would also like to ask, why people think this is a Muslim ban when those 7 countries have, if reports are to be believed, a combined total of 12.2% of total Muslim population.

“America is a proud nation of immigrants and we will continue to show compassion to those fleeing oppression, but we will do so while protecting our own citizens and border. America has always been the land of the free and home of the brave.

We will keep it free and keep it safe, as the media knows, but refuses to say. My policy is similar to what President Obama did in 2011 when he banned visas for refugees from Iraq for six months. The seven countries named in the Executive Order are the same countries previously identified by the Obama administration as sources of terror. To be clear, this is not a Muslim ban, as the media is falsely reporting.

This is not about religion - this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order. Did you watch the video? Are you claiming Rudy was lying? He asked Rudy how to legally ban Muslims. And Rudy came up with the bones of the EO.

I don't know if Rudy is lying or not. I don't care what Rudy said. I care what the President said, and he reaffirmed today that it was not a ban on Muslims, and there are plenty of other countries left off the ban that have far more Muslim concentrations than those 7 countries.

Also, for comparisons sake, where was the outrage when Obama did this for 6 months (TWICE) as long as Trump's 120 day plan.

This travel ban, poorly executed, is sorely needed IMO. I will say though, I do not like how it went out without a better plan and strategy to handle people with green cards and other obvious situations to not detain.

FYI- 3 of the 7 are state sponsors of terrorism and the other 4 are being actively monitored by the NCTC.

Trump did not do it based on religion and has said as much in later tweets. Trump is selecting the countries from a list that NCTC has, 3 of which are State sponsors of terror and the other 4 are on watch. This is specific geography and related to the terror level of those countries from an Obama run cabinet report.

I agree that detaining people with the legal papers was a mistake. Could that have been confusion of DHS at the airports due to the EO details being vague? Who knows. The threat is about terrorists coming into our country. It's always a threat. It doesn't have to be specific. That's why we are developing the vetting policy. Homegrown terrorism from immigrants needs to be stopped.

But the agitation propaganda that is spewing out from the Media is completely brainwashing the masses. On the flip side, I've seen interviews with a handful of Muslims that are already approving of what the President has done.

I read numbers yesterday that those countries make up 12.2% of the Muslim population. So, you would be correct.

Again, if they wanted to ban muslims, the ban would have to include many other countries, including Russia, where 1B muslims live.
