I had to custom order it.
Did you watch the TNT broadcast?

Bones made a comment/analogy about the painter dude in your avatar. Something about every day painting is a good day. Not that it has anything to do with anything, and I don't remember the context, but it just reminded me of you. :)

I think we have a good opportunity to be a top 3 team in the west as long as we re-sign Aldridge. If Aldridge doesn't re-sign, then the team will be built around Lillard

Im not sold that Lillard is a franchise player. All Star? Yes. Potential leader? Yes. But to build around him? mmm I think he needs a superstar big to stand with him. I don't think he can do it on his own with a bunch of well fit roll players around him...As much as I love the guy.

Possibly, but that would depend on what the Grizzlies, Clippers, Thunder and Spurs do this summer as well. I think when everyone is fully healthy I'd rank it:

Spurs
Thunder
Warriors
Grizzlies
Blazers
Clippers
Rockets
Pelicans

More realistic:

Spurs
Warriors
Thunder
Rockets
Clippers
Grizzlies
Blazers
Pelicans

He absolutely is a player you build around. There have been only 3 other players with his swag I this NBA and that was Jordan, Kobe, and Lebron

Afflalo was a disaster since the trade deadline.

Neil essentially gave away a first-rounder for cap-space.

And that's if Afflalo doesn't pick up his option.

He was below average in Denver and even worse in Portland.

Defining his supposed role is the least of my concerns.

Any GM makes the Afflalo deal over and over and over....

We are going to be in the later 20's, and if we aren't we will be in lotto territory where it's protected.

Afflalo could very well end up our starting SG next year if Wes goes elsewhere

Before the injury he had a PER that fluctuated between 6 and 8.

In Denver his PER was 12 with a high USG%.

The playoffs he hurt the team every second he was on the court: -5.1 PER

You're lying to yourself if you believed he was worth a first-rounder. The day before the trade happened I said the only way you give up a first-rounder AND a second-rounder, as Neil did, was if you could get their Euro-stashed Jokic.

He's clearly on the decline, especially from his Orlando days, and don't be surprised if he picks up his $8m option - that's how bad he's been.

Did you forget again that he was supposed to be a bench guy for Wes? I mean, logic.
When we had Wes, Afflalo only played 6 games. He averaged 9/3/2 in 28 minutes per game with some good D/not great shooting. Not great numbers but he only got SIX games with a healthy team... He is a good BENCH player. I don't get why people don't understand it either.

If only his name was Arronio Afflalovich...

10 PER | 11 PER | 8 PER
2.6 WS | 1.8 WS | 0.8 WS
1.11 DWS | 0.52 DWS | 0.33 DWS

$8m/per

Solid? Not since 2011-2012.

Courtney Lee had a PER of like 11,is he a bad player too? When healthy Afflalo is very comparable to him.
PER is a stat that gives leeway to volume shooters and good rebounder. You can be an apsolutely lockdown defender but if you dont get steals and blocks PER wont show shit.
PER is fun to use but its in no way a good justification to say if a player is good or bad, infact no real basketball stat is the holygrail and can show if a player is good or bad.
Also lee shot 69% from 2 and 54% from 3 against us. Itll be funny to see himnext series when his % drop below 30 for both.

The dude was asked to come in and learn a new system in like 2 months. Then wes goes down and he is asked to start in that new system to replace arguably our teams 2nd best player, whom he is subconsciously compared to. I think you are putting too much stock in his time spent here and how it defines him as a player.

Unfortunately he deleted the photo from Instagram for some reason, but it was about him studying tape, and it gave a feel that he was very involved and determined. I would bring him back for the right price no doubt. I think AA is a winner, and a worker. Again be careful not to compare him to wes, nobody grinds harder than wes, dude is crazy. I can't believe he was out shooting around well before game 4. He was out taking Lillard range threes off one foot.

I'm bumping this thread. The guy has been planning for this summer for three years. I'm sure he's worked out all the contingencies. Give him some time to work.

Its def his team now. He gets to put his hands all over it

um we are about to lose two thirds of our team to free agency...and he just traded Batum for Gerald Henderson and Noah V....not sure how much to trust him....hopefully he has something up his sleeve, if anyone can turn shit into gold its him.
