Is Joe Cronin a good GM?

People will claim that Joe is horrible, that he has done this or that wrong, and that's just the reality of internet culture. All I know, having no experience as a general manager in the NBA, is that he has built a team I'm excited to watch. What he's accomplished in a small market isolated from the most of the country, is truly impressive. There is not an complaint to be made that will disprove this. A great GM.

Reality and results disprove this.

Just win, baby!

man...the 2nd apron has really shifted things in the NBA. Teams much quicker to admit mistakes while dumping players and salary
Also theres so many trade restrictions. Backup level player on overpaid contracts used to have a bit of a market at the trade deadline. Now seems like player and teams know a trade won't happen so they just do buyouts.

might be that the middle class, contract-wise, in the NBA is drying up. Max deals and MLE-level deals

Yeah seems like we see some of that.

Also a lot less emphasis on pure PPG, which is actually probably good. Players like Clarkson, Sexton, Simons, RFA Cam Thomas, etc just have no market. These guys used to get huge contracts from stupid teams every summer.

Results? You think we were trying to win the past three years?
I mean, I'm not arguing with you but who the fuck know what we were doing this last season? Pretty obvious the two previous seasons but last season was a real Kolde tainted head scratcher. I don't think for a second that the perplexing nature of last season was on Joe though.

This upcoming season I'm pretty sure the goal will be to win the most games possible and I think both Chauncey and Joe will have a true track record starting there.

I think he’s average. Maybe ,maybe middle of the NBA

Such a great post

Your trolling is truly insufferable man. Seriously. Why? Im actually asking with concern.

I actually came to this dudes defense in the Mod thread.

Begging forgiveness from the board.

It's bizarre.... Not sure if he thinks it's funny or it's a cry for help or what but yeah I don't think I could be so annoying even if I tried. It's the blatant definition of a troll.

I guess if I was - people could just put me on ignore (or maybe a bunch already have).

I would be so interested to see the feedback on Cronin from the board before Lillard came back. Just on the draft, Jrue and letting Ayton go.

I think the stance would be different post draft/ pre sl then if you go post sl/pre dame.

meaning Yangs play i think will have effects on the viewpoint many have.

I made thread on voting grades for the draft - consensus was between a C and D immediately after and between A and B after a few summer league games.

I also did one on Jrue trade... Divided but most lean towards it being a bad deal but liked the deal - seeming because Jrue is a great guy and teams better style of play but risky contract.

Once 10million buyout was reported I think Ayton buyout was nearly universally praised.

Kind of calls into question why other mods let him do that?

It's not like this is something new. He's been doing it for years.

I have my opinions on who is allowed what…
Ive also let my emotions control my behavior at times, so I'm not judging. Just asking him to stop.
Every thread. Every day. At a certain point one must acknowledge they have merely become a funnel for which they despise, exhibiting behavior that creates the same results as the subjects they negatively rail on. Segregation, tension and separation… its all the same.

Nice. Ill look for the thread. Curious about the before and after myself.

So most liked the jrue deal but thought it was bad?

Is that like when 79% said military spending is too high but only 67% thought military spending should be cut? Lol. So 12% thought military spending was too high, but shouldn't be cut?
Lol.
Thats why i keep saying to those who put so much value in polls, polls lie all the time. Polls are built to manipulate the questions to drive answers based on the pollsters agenda.
