Is this real life? (Re: Steve Blake)

Fisher instead of Blake? Even worse! WTF is the point of that?

It keeps getting worse. I'd rather have Blake than Fisher. If we're going to acquire one of the two, who has more value next year?

Blanky playing for LA, Fisher played the first six minutes and is now on the bench.

At least everybody on the board kept their cool, though. :MARIS61:

You really want to have to see Steve Blake in a Blazers uniform for two more years? Fuck that noise. At least Fisher is probably retiring at the end of this season.

Fuck that! Fuck this! Fuck you! Fuck me! Fuck the Blazers! Fuck Blake! Fuck McMillan! Fuck........

So... Crawford hasn't played in the first half... but Steve Blake IS playing in the Lakers-Hornets game (as is Fisher). What does this mean?

It means Paul and Larry have talked. They decided they like the way the franchise is headed.

Lakers getting Beasley, Jamal Crawford to Minnesota and and Steve Blake to Portland is getting close, the News Mitch Lawrence reports

I don't think so.

One would have to think so, right? How is us holding out JC while Blake plays the game us playing hardball? I'd get that idea, if it were us holding Felton out because him playing hurts his value, but holding Crawford out while Blake plays means we don't want JC to get injured so we can complete the deal.

Update: there is a 1st round pick involved in the trade. Portland would also send it's 2012 1st round pick to LA, but it's top 3 protected. :ghoti:

But seriously, this is pathetic. Steve Blake.....I was glad to be rid of him. Nothing personal, but he's not exactly the most exciting player....

I can't imagine how big of a dumbass you have to be, to sit in your little office and imagine how to improve the team, and actually think "Steve Blake for Jamal Crawford".

fortunately we're not allowed to trade our 2012 1st or it would probably be gone already

We're kicking LA out of the deal, trading Felton and Crawford for Beasley and Ridnour.

The worst part of it would be, essentially helping the Lakers trade Steve Blake for Michael Beasely. I'd rather have Beasley on our team as a backup or something....bring back the jailblazers!

Beasley does have a QO next year of 8 mil though.....

and who is "good" that wants to come play here.... This team absolutely destroys any semblance of "good" a player has had....... I hope we get Blake, and I hope this team tanks. We need an overhaul starting with the coach.

Steve Nash is "good" and wants to come play here.

I'd rather have this guy than Blake:

He is also 38

So he's motivated to win a title right now. And certainly capable of doing so.

As we all should realize now, puting too much stock on the potential years a player may still be productive or remain non-injured is a crap shoot at best.

Sign players for their talent and competiveness, period.
