Okay, when you're at odds with a lot of people then perhaps you should consider changing your position. Yes, it's a generalization but it's often true.

Really? Would that equate to the minority movement too? Or Could I consider alot of people here(10-15 people) a minority compared to all the people I associate and converse with? Because I'm telling you, outside of S2, its a very different vibe overall.

I just think some people live here and all they hear is this echo chamber, so they think they are in the majority when they are not.

I'm going to try one more time.

For the record, I never said that Trump committed sexual assault. I said that he was bragging about acts that sounds to me (I get that you disagree with this as well) very much like sexual assault. So I took issues with him bragging about being able to commit (or committed) something so despicable. Someone who talks so enthusiastically about being able to get away with sexual assault is not someone who I would vote for President, his "economic stances" be damned. Yeah, characters matter a whole lot to me.

That's fine that you choose to believe it that way. I choose to take Trump at his words and believe whatever he boasted of being able to get away with.

As long as your efforts are not aimed at ridiculing, demeaning or insulting im all for it.

The first thing that breaks down discussions and puts up walls is insulting another person for their opinion. Which his the bulk of what this place is about. Ill give you the benefit of the doubt on that.

I get what you said. Him bragging about the ability to do so is not a good look at all. Its insulting to women.
But hen I look at Biden and I see him having touching issues and what not with children. Not a good look either.

Then I compare the economic ideals of the two.

They both have sexual misconduct issues or fetishes they are dealing with with the press. So that leaves me with how they stand economically. If i'm going to let a character issue get in the way, then neither of them deserve a vote. Which is how I went.

With that said, I lean on the conservative government side.

I get really confused when I see this socialist/liberal movement wanting to give more power to a government, they openly say has failed them.

Absolutely doesn't make sense to me.

Well, I'm not going to pin it down. It's just a consideration.

It is my opinion. I never said I state my opinion as a fact. Opinions are able to be swayed... when in an open mind. However, as of now, It seems to me like locker room talk, false boasting, and generally just boys being boys.

Do not take this as I accept or think its okay. But I am not going to equate that as he is a sexual assaulter without some tangible proof. That's all. Until then, my opinion is its overblown locker room talk.

Now @calvin natt brought up 30 accusers and pics with jeff as other evidence to compound it quacking like a duck, blah blah blah.

But the thing is, and i'm not saying this is the case here, but it is a fact women have falsely accused people of this in spite. (this is where Crand can call me a misogynist like she did tortured, for saying the same thing, which is disgusting to do so), so without a conviction, he is still innocent of this. People have been trying to say he is a sexual offender for four years, and no conviction, no straight up proof. etc.

Regarding the picture with Jeffery, Clinton was with him too. Is he a sexual offender? Because they had connections and history doesn't mean the all engaged in the same things.

For example, The Clackamas mall shooter? I slept in his bed before he did what he did. I knew him. Poor boy. Despicable what he did, but the system failed him big time too. At any rate, It doesn't mean I did what he did or was involved. Guilt by association is a very dangerous thing.
Yes on Clinton.

You knew the Clackamas Mall shooter?

I'll leave you with your opinion on Trump

I will say yeah there have been false accusations. But, most women are not lying and are in fact victims and they should be believed when they come out and say things happened. They should be given the benefit of the doubt. But, more often than not its the accused who is given the benefit of doubt, while the accuser is ostracized. Its the reason women who are victims of rape don't speak out. Because people will choose to believe their victimizer.

Also, not a good reference with Jeffery and Bill. Jeffery was prosecuted and ended up dyibg/being killed for his shit, and Bill was impeached for using his power to make his aide suck his dick. Not to mention all the other women he has had to pay off in court over sexual assault/rape allegations, etc.

Call me a snowflake then, but I'm not cool with anyone, let alone the President, bragging about sexual assault. You couldn't pay me enough to look the other way if I saw someone sexually being assaulted. So you can take your "economic stances" and stuff it.
Fucking a. Well put.

Stick with me, kemosabe. Me speak only truth....

Racist post alert. wtf.

My Wife's friend is making some pretty cool masks for a reasonable price (only $6) and I just picked up a couple of Rip City ones from her, in addition to some others (Timbers, Ducks, Seahawks, cannabis leaves, & a Portland one).

EDIT: Forgot to add that she will ship them straight to you, as well, and you can pay via Venmo, CashApp, etc.

If you're interested in going that route, I'll get you her info.

Wearing my Timbers mask today, after an easy 3 points for the boys last night!

All that white stuff...are these bukkaki masks or something?

He was found guilty in civil court

That wasn't really my point, but at the same token, Trump has paid off people...for some strange reason.

Let's talk about this. Your referring to his use of the word Kemosabe and the SOS smoke signals?

Kemosabe has several translations or varying meanings.

It can be translated as friend apache. Other translations include, he who looks out in secret, faithful friend, and trusty scout.

Many have said it is very similar to the spanish quien no sabe, which means he who does not understand. Basically idiot.

Many have said its derogatory while many believe its not. There isnt yet a concrete consensus on it.

Was it racist? IDK. It seemed like ABM was calling OB a friend. But, thats just me.

I'm saying writing in dialect is painful on its own. But the quoting Native Americans in pidgin English just lands as pretty insulting these days. It's like Trump saying the Pocahontas stuff. I'm sure he's quoting the Lone Ranger, but it doesn't make it a good thing to do. Go quote the "Song of the South" and see how that goes.

Fair enough.

Face facts, most of us here are non-entities, except @SlyPokerDog. What we post here might be read by at most a few dozen people. So why are posters called out as unforgivable for what we say, but occupant of the white house repeatedly boasts of sexually assaulting women, has been accused by around 24 women, and yet, well, no problem because he hasn't been found guilty in a court of law?

As prop said, it's the "me speak only truth" part that is cringeworthy.

It'd be like if someone posted a picture of Rochester, in the year 2020, and said something about "massa" and "you bet Mr Benny!" or "oh lawdy lawdy me!"

I would just like to point out that regardless of whether Trump has been charged or convicted of any criminal charges, the guy doesn't conduct himself like the President of the United States.

He's the most embarrassing and vile President we have ever had, and that's saying something.

This is our highest office. Our main ambassador and the face of our country. Why the hell anyone would think that this guy is who you would want representing our country is beyond me. He isn't a good person, and I suspect that not only would most of his supporters actually really dislike him if they knew him personally, but I also suspect that he would have nothing to do with them either.

I just hosted relatives from Wilmington, NC this last week--drove to Oceanside (Oregon) for a night, then to Sisters (down Hwy 22! Holy effing eff! So much fire damage!) and Bend for a few, and then back to Portland--and now I'm nervous as fuck about the election!!!

It could've been the HUNDREDS of TRUMP signs everywhere on my journey, or the flappy 4x4 flags driving around like Mad Max, or just deja vu from the last time we were here, or the guest Southerners, or my parents (also Southerners), but I'm suddenly feeling a lot less optimistic. Perhaps I'm reaching my limit on the number of "unprecedented" things I can handle in a year, I don't know...

Am I alone in this? Everything just feels so uncertain and so foreboding at this point...

(Also, @SlyPokerDog is right! This is a JINX THREAD!!!)

I drive around the foothills and see lots of Trump signs.....it's always been like that in Lane County....the towns are deep blue but the rural areas are pretty red...I think that's true all over the state

Just so you know, in Tallahassee FL, I am seeing about 80% of signs for Biden.
