Yeah, they attack each other all the time. Those attacks go into the statistics. That's why it's so much more expensive not to house them.

I do feel bad for these people, but i also know simply giving them housing could never work. They would absolutely decimate a living space in a weeks time. These housing facilities would all be burnt to the ground. Not saying it’s their fault, many are mentally ill. I just don’t know what the answer is.

This is false and has been proven wrong many times.

The homeless people who can handle just housing treat it well. The landlords are happy even years after.

The people who need more help who are given that support are also better off (and cost taxpayers far less while committing less crime and less property damage).

Nobody has ever said "just give them all housing and no other support". Of course that wouldn't work.

He's not necessarily wrong, you know. Read up on the vacant hotel in downtown Casper that the homeless destroyed. All you have to do is go by pretty much any homeless encampment (at least around PDX) and in general they are garbage pits that can and do indicate levels of mental illness. So much homeless housing gets trashed in a very short period of time. That is just a true fact, unfortunate though it may be. There is NO easy solution (if there is ANY solution).
 
The homeless are a feature, not a bug. The economy is designed to have winners and losers. It's called freedom.

He's necessarily wrong because 1) he's routinely making it an absolute and 2) he's sidestepping causation.
 
I have first hand experience being a landlord, never again!!@!@

First lesson learned, stay away from govt sponsored renters.

Even renting only to people with a good work history and references is a nightmare. I have a very long list of horror stories.

People that rent, do not give a shit about other peoples property.

The only way to be a landlord, is to have a proffesional managment company run it. And the people running it need to be assholes.

Yeah, the government could easily handle managing the property (contract it out to a service), and they could insure the property to be returned to the same condition say after a 5 year lease.

It could eliminate all of the headaches of being a landlord.

There are all kinds of solutions we could be taking advantage of.

you really don't understand the nature of the left if this is your take...nor wall street nor the military budget. Your taxes buy weapons. When you refuse to pay those taxes and succeed from the union..get back to me. Until then, if you spend a dime in America, you're feeding the economy, like it or not..you invested in a computer or cell phone didn't you? Those are corporate born items. Choices...you buy gasoline? Corporate fuel....get the picture? You are playing the capitalistic wheel of fortune whether you profit from it or not. Buy a gun? yeah...thought so. The double standard is much wider than you project it to be. One can actually allocate where their investments are spent with a tiny bit of research. Making money is not your political enemy

I got mine so fuck everyone else. The kids fighting over a tiny fraction of the economy i had access to at their age “are just lazy”.

I will let all the stupid kids know they need to start a penny jar riverman. They will be homeowners in no time.

You're fighting with people over the economy? I had access to good advice from elders I respected and the GI Bill..which I earned. You should've seen how the economy was during the Carter years....it wasn't a land of plenty. As to fuck everyone else, you couldn't be further off the mark if you tried. I'm watching two grandsons for free today.
