I think the protests* were about that absolutely.

But I think much of the rioting and looting was flat out shameless opportunism and shouldn’t be attributed to a dead man with no voice in the matter.

I totally agree with that. All of the lootings completely falls into that category.

I said nothing about George Floyd, black people, BLM or civil rights leaders. Address what I actually say or don’t bother responding to me. I’m talking about people RIOTING, not protesting, who align with Democrats and are defended by Democrats. They aren’t all black people. That was YOUR assertion that you sneakily tried to pin on me. It’s complete nonsense you made up and now you are going to great lengths to somehow string it back to me.
Protests ...no you compared the insurrection and coup on the transfer of power to civil rights demonstrations and you cited liberal commie supporters as the summer protesters and just some morons at what you called the pretend riots in DC on Jan 6th....I believe you used "pretend" as a qualifier.....you pin this shit on yourself...I said they aren't all black people...I said they're vets and minorities and people from all walks of life...now let's talk about the attacks on asians and minorities over the last couple years...you want to sensationalize demographics...I'll respond...you don't like my response...put me on ignore. I said George Floyd protests over the summer protests...you were skewing it as hoodlums going after statues and property....some were....that's not what the huge protest marches were about...that was the collateral damage...now the Jan 6th was an attack on the nations capitol...on democracy fueled by a president who couldn't handle losing.....I'll voice my opinion anyway I wish so if that's out of your comfort zone...that's your problem ...choices.

Let’s keep this on topic. The fire needs to be held to the GOP.

Before Jan. 6, Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio was given plans to occupy congressional buildings, Supreme Court

In the week leading up to the Jan. 6 Capitol assault, Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio received a nine-page memo titled "1776 Returns" that laid out detailed plans to occupy congressional office buildings to protest the counting of the Electoral College votes from the 2020 presidential election.

The memo, which was filed in court as part of a recent motion made by one of Tarrio's co-defendants, outlined a goal to "maintain control over as select few, but crucial buildings in the DC area for a set period of time, presenting our demands in unity."

Where did he get it?

God damn Roger Stone played those idiots.

If you were a band it would be Pussy Nap. There is no riot in you, cat.
Speak for yourself, dog.

And you have been shown that was rare (happening less than 4% of the time). And still, nobody in here supported it.

So what point are you trying to make?

The one on his head.

That January 6 was a riot, and that riots also happened the previous summer, and I think the two are comparable without lending any extra credit to one or the other. That’s literally the only opinion I tried to relay. People here are way out in the woods trying to formulate some wild theories about what I’m actually, secretly suggesting (see rivermans long-winded posts, if you’ve got the time and patience). Somehow black people were brought into the discussion by others and it was turned around on me, when I have zero racial bias pertaining to the situation and never even remotely brought it up. I really find skin tone to be completely irrelevant here. There’s really no undertones to what I’m saying, it’s pretty face value and people are refusing to address it that way.

What about what Antifa just did to Yellowstone? Closed for at least the summer.

On a serious note, the pictures I saw of the damage are sad. Also Billings is about to lose its water supply.

It’s pretty jacked up. I’m very familiar with all those little towns. I spent half my childhood around Red Lodge. I don’t know how people/supplies are going to get in and out of Gardiner. There is only one road in and out as far as I know, and it’s completely destroyed. It’s the highway they keep showing on the news. I drove across the bridge they showed tumbling down the river last fall.

Leaving tomorrow on a family vacation road trip to Glacier and Yellowstone. Definitely sad to see how much the parks have been damaged by the flooding. Hopefully a portion of the Yellowstone south loop will be open by next Wednesday/Thursday.

You might want to come up with a plan B, lol.

But if you can get into the parks please take lots of pictures.

Grand Teton National Park is right next door to Yellowstone. Perhaps that is an option?

It was also funny to see a bunch of communist supporting, fuck the system liberals who justified rioting become flag wavin’ red blooded apple pie bald eagle ‘mericans as soon as it was a bunch of conservative morons who were doing the rioting. The sanctity of our government establishments suddenly took on a new importance. This was after multiple government buildings and statues were defaced in the weeks and months prior, of course. The irony in politics has no bounds.

If you have the time and patience notice how the adjectives are used here.....and the intro...It was also funny...then unpack the bolded section and tell me I'm spinning wild tales in the woods about you alluding that BLM protests were no different than Jan6th and that Jan 6th turned me into a hypocritical patriot...or that I wasn't patriotic before that happened..and that because I support BLM that I support communism...and no....you don't get to compare civil rights protests about treatments of blacks with sedition in the halls of congress by armed militia.....although you really tried to. Somebody is throwing out wild accusations here and that itself deserves the response it got.

But nobody in here supported those riots and everybody in here supported those people being punished to the fullest extend of the law.

That's what we're advocating for here as well. The scale and importance of this riot is far larger, and it appears that it was actually planned by the sitting president to subvert the democratic process for his own personal gain.

Nobody at the other riots was attempting to overthrow our democracy.

Again, I'm not sure where your problem here lies. This riot was not the same as the other random riots you are referring to.
