Rep. Mo Brooks says he’s willing to testify in public as Jan. 6 committee prepares to reissue him a subpoena

It’s kind of like The Donald doesn’t understand politics much.
You can’t just keep paying to fix things. The only true thing that matters in politics is the dirt you have on someone or something. Then you use that dirt to get what you want.
Too many people have way too much dirt on The Donald and he doesn’t have the power anymore to keep that dirt hidden.
Has been will soon be defined with a picture of Donald Trump.
 
Feds raided Jeff Clark's house today....they have the goods on him and Meadows I'm pretty sure that this is tied to the flood of "new" evidence that came out yesterday...this guy is a snake just like Meadows.

One of them is known as someone that betrayed his country. The other no-one remembers as someone that was a huge sexual scandal 100 years later - but is literally forgotten now. I say, if Rudy has done something awful (and he has), at least, he should be remembered for it.
 
Today they lay out a clear picture of how Trump and his bootlickers attempted to politicize and weaponize the justice department....time to start locking these fuckers up and throw away the keys
 
Trump and his gang made a huge mistake thinking their bluster and loudmouthed insults would prevail over actually intelligent professionals who knew what they were doing...this is going to come out very, very badly for the MAGA tards

Interesting to note that Brooks was one of 6 republican house members who asked for a pardon after January 6th..........

Gaetz had asked for a pardon starting in early December. Among others.

There was going to be a mass resignation from all the top leaders of the justice department(s) if Clark was installed as AG. T*ump didnt want there to be an investigation into the fraud, he just wanted someone in power to overturn the election, no matter what. He may have caved and not installed Clark, but he went against EVERYONE that said that the election was NOT stolen, and that all the theories had no evidence. He went against all that and STILL peddled baseless claims on January 6th.

He didnt want to be president, he wanted to be a dictator.

If you still support him or you believe the election was stolen, there's no coming back. All the facts are there to say it wasnt stolen. All the facts are there to say everyone told T*ump this. These people that are testifying aren't "out to get trump", they are people who knew it wasn't stolen, tried to tell him DIRECTLY multiple times, and T*ump STILL didn't listen. IN FACT, T*ump KNEW he lost. KNEW it wasn't stolen. AND HE STILL DID THIS.

T*ump never cared about you. He will never care about you. He only wanted power. And as these hearings have clearly shown, he was willing to kill our democracy to do it.

Now tell me, why are people okay with democracy being eroded?

After today I can't see how the DOJ doesnt criminally prosecute. Today, IMO, was the most damning of it all. All the top AGs said to him it wasnt stolen, all of the election fraud is baseless, and he went out and still did it.

Today painted the picture that he was willing to erode democracy to stay in power. And it almost happened.

Mo Brooks testifying, and if he does so honestly, will probably sink his ship for good. He spoke at the rally that morning, he was lock step with him.

But today felt like the day it all came down. I will always be caustiously optimistic of course, but at this point how do you refute it?

"We want equal time" T*ump said. Sure, great. do it. under oath. and TRY, just TRY to argue the indefensible.

Thats what today felt like.

Unless he knows the shit is hitting the fan regardless. He has everything to gain by telling the truth, and possibly working out a deal for lesser personal consequences.

That would mean testifying to a grand jury, not congress, though. And as far as I know he's not cooperating w/ DOJ (although maybe he is, I do not know).

He says his deposition must be done in public, it must be limited to January 6, with only members of Congress asking questions.

He also says that if a question pertains to a prior statement or communication that he be given seven days’ notice so that he might refresh his memory.

Finally, he says that the deposition must take place on a day when he is already in Washington, DC.

Brooks says that he has already given sworn statements and that he does not believe that he has anything to add that isn’t already known by the committee.

Which is the most disingenuous thing I have ever read. Also, traitors to the United States of America don't get to set their own terms and conditions. Wonder why he begged for a pardon after the 6th.....

The Jan 6th commission has new evidence and testimony that sparked them to have a hearing tomorrow because it couldn't wait until the original postponed date for more hearing...this is interesting breaking news...my guess is somebody is in a hurry to save their own skin or maybe more than one person....at any rate I was glad to read this this morning
 
Any guesses on which witness is ready to throw Trump under the bus for their own safety? I'm hoping it's Jim Jordan...he's looked really nervous recently with his attempts to discredit the panel. Better yet I hope it's McCarthy...he has a lot to lose. More than likely, it'll be Clark who got taken to the cleaners in the last hearing. Could also be Mark Meadows or Ron Johnson or even Roger Stone...Stone has no loyalty to anything but the dollar so he's a good guess.
