and add a vet while your at it. Oh and brandon Jennings will be a BUST!

wouldnt you prefer the nicks get him for when oden is returned home like you demanded?

I wouldn't go that far, but boy do I love Flynn. 3rd best player in this draft IMO.

Weren't you the same person though that was clamoring for us to only bring in a vet and ridiculing those that wanted to bring in a young player?

WRONG. he is the best player in this draft!!!!!!!!!!!! He is also a Lock down defender, but could not shot it uin college because of the cuse 2-3 zone. He will be a much better pro then blake griffin. Mark my words

As much as I don't really like the initial post, and the other posts from odenisgod, I am really really high on Flynn. He's the one player PG in this draft that I'd rather have than Bayless (as you can tell I'm pretty high on Bayless). Sounds like he can step in and lead as a PG pretty well too. I know Brandon is the leader, but having a PG that can really keep things rolling would be very useful. Either way...getting Flynn (which I don't think we'll do) or having Bayless come back after working with Oden is making me excited for the pre-season to come.

Oh comon. We all know you just want to add Juan Dixon back to the team as the vet!:drumroll:

It seems a lot of you are really sold on this kid, saying he's the next Chris Paul, one of the top 3 in the draft, etc. So if he's so good, why does every projection have him not going in the top 5, let alone the top 10 (in most cases)? Do you know something that these draft gurus do not know or....?

Personally I think Bayless deserves some more time to earn the PG spot on this team. He showed us flashes of really good things in his rookie season, and now that Sergio is probably on his way out, the door for Jerryd (sp?) is wide open.

I don't like Flynn better than Bayless, but I do like Flynn and would be pretty intrigued if the Blazers got him. Until point guard is solved for good and all, I'm perfectly fine with picking up more interesting talents at the position and letting them battle to the death.

Rubio, of course, is the guy I want (and would value even above Bayless), but there are other interesting players to draft. It may be a weak draft, but every draft generally has at least one or two guys who will become big stars/superstars. Pritchard got Roy and Aldridge out of was supposed to be (and, really, was) a weak draft. If Pritchard moves up targeting someone, I'll be pretty excited about that player.

The draft gurus certainly undervalued Brandon Roy and several others over the years.

He is easily better then bayless right now! His basketball IQ is so much higher then bayless!

Maybe but I don't know about his basketball IQ being that much higher then Bayless. I do like Flynn but if they were both in this year draft I would still rather have Bayless then Flynn.

The guy got hot at the tourny for a few games and now he's the next Chris Paul? Heh, the same people who wanted to "draft the 'stash". Yeah, that would have been a great pick as well.

That type of thinking takes a lot of peyote.

There's a huge difference in what Flynn did and what Morrison did. The first notable difference is the level of competition. The Big East was Godzilla Huge this year. Godzilla. They proved they were one of the elite teams coming out of that conference. And Flynn, IMO, did this with relatively less talent than Morrison did with Gonzaga.

Secondly, Flynn's diverse talents are significantly more valuable at this next level than Morrison's.

Once the Zags got to the Tournament that year, and played against superior competition, more flaws in his game were shown to me. Once 'Cuse and Flynn got to the Big East Tournament and then the Dance, I saw a guy that not only sustained his level of fantastic play, but in some cases, exceeded his past play.

This type of thinking leads me to wonder if people actually watched much of Syracuse this year.

its amazing how much some of you overrate players just because they are on your team!!!

Go figure.

they need to add a vet!!! that is the #1 priority!!!! KP has never done this! I know he is going to draft a rookie but im afraid thats all he's going to do. In that case it would be a huuuuuuge mistake.

More exclamation points and all caps please; you're not quite making your point ...

Bayless was a lotto pick in a great draft. He struggled but also showed some raw ability flashes of what he could be especially when when Blake was out and he enjoyed steady minutes. Believe it or not, I can site a few examples of All-NBA type talents that didn't set the world on fire in their rookie years.

Flynn might be a lotto pick in whats generally felt to be a very weak draft. I've read nobody putting him among the top 2-3 players in this weak draft let alone #1. If in a couple years he looks like the best player and a general stud you'll be able to site this thread as proof of your ability to project players... you'll be right and everyone else will be wrong. But acting like a jerk today towards others who respectfully disagree with you ahead of this actually happening will always read poorly.

The draft is supposed to be pretty strong in PGs if that means anything.

thats not the impression I've gathered. Rubio has some hype, but most seem to predict he'll probably struggle next year and after that it's a crapshoot of opinions. Rose, Westbrooke, Mayo, and Bayless were all thought to be ready to play. They all brought good size and athleticism to the table. DJ Augustine had some mixed views as he is smallish but I bet even he would have gone ahead of every PG in this draft after RR.

as bad as this draft is felt to be, only 3 of the PG prospects are thought to be possibly top 10 material and only one is thought to be a lock for the top 5. We shall see, but my guess is that none of them will have much impact next year.

Just saying...When you have Rubio, Curry, Flynn, Evans, Holiday, Jennings, Lawson, Maynor, Mills, Teague, Collison in the same draft, you'd think at least one or two of them would pan out.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think the next CP3 is in this draft. Players like him don't come along very often. I don't think Jennings is a bust either. He will be a starter in the NBA someday.
