Cronin can only do what he allowed to do aka do not go into the tax etc and while I admit not a super trade cause those two throw in's scream Jody allen fucking the Blazers NOT Cronin. I will say it again maybe this time someone will let it sink in but whatever does or does not happen falls on ownership and the willingness to go into the tax etc.

I am going to wait til after deadline but starting the head to the wagon of -- Screw Jody Allen and she needs to sell NOW before she screws this franchise up even more. Almost surprised she did not trade Dame for Westbrick and a 1st and take the savings cause she is that stupid at least in terms of the Blazers she might be a friggin smart as hell in whatever she was / is doing before Paul's death but being an owner -- SHE SUCKS

Couldn't even get Toppin or Hartenstein in the deal? Wtf Joe
I believe Hartenstein would put us in the luxury tax and that’s a no-no. No way we get Toppin, Reddish and a 1st round pick. I’d rather have the pick.

Reddish has been in Thibs doghouse because he doesn’t play any defense.

If the 1st doesn’t convey this year it turns to 2nd round picks?

wtf? Awful trade

And it won't convey

we're getting a lotto protected 1st this season. For a guy who likely walks. What were your expectations?

have they said which pick it is?

2023 first round draft pick from Dallas
Dallas' 1st round pick to New York protected for selections 1-10 in 2023, 1-10 in 2024 and 1-10 in 2025; if Dallas has not conveyed a 1st round pick to New York by 2025, then Dallas will instead convey its 2025 2nd round pick to New York [Dallas-New York, 1/31/2019]

2023 first round draft pick from Detroit
Detroit's 1st round pick to New York protected for selections 1-18 in 2023, 1-18 in 2024, 1-13 in 2025, 1-11 in 2026 and 1-9 in 2027; if Detroit has not conveyed a 1st round pick to New York by 2027, then Detroit will instead convey its 2027 2nd round pick to New York (via Houston to Oklahoma City) [Detroit-Houston, 11/24/2020; Houston-Oklahoma City, 7/30/2021; New York-Oklahoma City, 6/23/2022]

2023 first round draft pick from Washington
Washington's 1st round pick to New York protected for selections 1-14 in 2023, 1-12 in 2024, 1-10 in 2025 and 1-8 in 2026; if Washington has not conveyed a 1st round pick to New York by 2026, then Washington will instead convey its 2026 2nd round pick and 2027 2nd round pick to New York (via Houston to Oklahoma City) [Houston-Washington, 12/2/2020; Houston-Oklahoma City, 7/30/2021; New York-Oklahoma City, 6/23/2022]

the Kincks have their own pick too

f it's part of another trade, it doesn't matter much. If the Blazers are keeping it, that's an interesting puzzle figuring out which pick would be best

need to know which NYN pick they are giving Joe. I don't know how that works.

I'm not judging Joe yet but that excuse is bullshit. You can make good trades without going into the tax. I'm not even saying this is a bad trade but the luxury tax thing is a limitation but it doesn't prevent him from making any good moves.

I wonder if we'll even keep it or if we'll use it to help us dump Nurk for a C that actually makes sense in Chauncey's system.

We already look better without Hart. I wonder if someone told Sharpe he’s starting after the break?

I'm fine with trading Hart for a pick and taking a flyer on Reddish.

But this signals to me the team isnt looking to try and win this season. That might be a good thing.

Saving money has me concerned though.

Now if we could flip Nurk for an expiring that would be great.

Yes, and this great-looking play is BOUND to hold up consistently in all 4 quarters - that's the Blazers way!

They aren't trying to be done, but doesn't mean they can find a trade.

I’d assume it’s the worst ov the batch knowing how we roll

People really think getting a 1st rd pick (a pick likely to be in the 15-19 range) for and expiring contract is a bad deal? I like Hart as much as the next guy but he was an expiring contract and not likely staying. It's tough to get a 1st rd pick for an expiring player. Well done

Make a trad, make a trade, make a trade. Trade is made. Whaaaa!!! I hate all of this! Joe sucks! Cry! Cry! this fucking place. Too bad we couldn't move Hart for Webanama. That was his value, right?

to help with your dream of a tank?
CJ is easily the best player of those people, and Nance would probably be more helpful than Grant, who's just a scorer (and with Dame, CJ, Ant, and Nurk we wouldn't need a scorer).
