Has to be the team we engage. At a certain point, stockpiling these many picks results in dimishing returns. And they're ripe for an improvement. Moving 2 or 3 of those wouldn't even affect any of their core assets.Yeah. I'd love to get it done with OKC.
Dinwiddie and DFS are filler. If there are better options for filler, so be it. We don't care. Same with Horford and Pritchard. Dinwiddie is an expiring though.
do they have enough filler? (don't say he who shall not be named)If we're looking to get back another good young prospect, perhaps Houston would be a destination for Jrue? I'm thinking Tari Eason plus a pick. Or Cam Whitmore if we'd have interest.
Not to keep, but to flip. It’s funny because I was talking to TBpup yesterday and I mentioned the guy who traded a paper clip and eventually ended up with a house. Marang also mentioned that story. Joe could turn Dame into Jrue and pick and then Jrue into Herro and picks and then Herro into a pick.I want nothing to do with Tyler Herro. TERRIBLE contract for what you get.
Call me crazy, but now that Dame has been traded, I would love to get the two unprotected picks from Miami along with Lowery and either of the two young guys. Miami will not be good in five years. I have no problem trading Jrue there. Would Miami offer that though? I doubt it.
I still think Lowry's expiring contract, the kind of mentoring he could give our young guys before we buy him out after the trade deadline but more importantly either Jaquez, Jovic or both and both the 2028 and 30 FRPs without conditions would be great for us and it would be the only thing the Heat can do right now to keep themselves in contention. With their current pieces* Miami will not be good in 5 years. The problem is, it's Miami. Between the sunshine, nightlife, beaches and tax setup, Miami will always be a top 5 NBA destination. Sure, maybe they backslide a bit when Riley retires and Jimmy hangs em up, but they -- maybe more than any non-LA team -- have the necessary pieces to reload quickly and routinely...

Rockets just paid FVV like 40 mil for a few years and Dillon Brooks at 22 mil,, seems unlikely they'd want JrueIf we're looking to get back another good young prospect, perhaps Houston would be a destination for Jrue? I'm thinking Tari Eason plus a pick. Or Cam Whitmore if we'd have interest.
I think agree they could be *fine* pieces for us... JJJ and Jovic are both rotation guys, but probably not much more, and those picks are both well out and no guarantee to be any good. From both a "fuck Miami" standpoint, and the general "meh" that that package gives me, I just think we can do better for Jrue. There's absolutely a bidding war going right now.
Also fuck Miami.

We really need a starting level small forward. At some point we're muddying the waters for all the young talent. There's no way you can develop Rupert, Walker, JJJ, Jovic, Murray, Camara all at the same time. Now if you're getting lotto level talent, that's another thing, but we don't need more late 1st round/2nd round talent to add to what we already have.
According to our own front office, they had Murray and Rupert rated in the lottery. Schmitz also said Jovic was a late lottery talentAt some point we're muddying the waters for all the young talent. I believe the Murray part. I ABSOLUTELY believe the Jovic part because Schmitz was still at ESPN when he said that. Rupert….not so muchIf they really believe that than sure, but I don't...
Shit like this annoys me. What does "moving quickly" mean? Moving quickly to make a shitty offer does not interest me. "Moving quickly" should mean opening with an offer we can't refuse. But I don't see any of those teams having assets that particularly tickle my fancy.
It's kind of sad to realize that Philly could legitimately offer Harden for Jrue straight up, and we'd be quite sensible to turn them down. Harden's going to regret his latest shitfit if he hasn't already.
Kuminga would fit perfectly. He has good ball-handling skills so if there's a lane he won't need help scoring.Yup. That's why Kuminga gets consideration. I might even like Tari Eason who I think can be that consummate role player at the starting 4.

I could see Joe dealing him to Clippers. Dont forget the Balmers & Kolde's live close.
