Jrue Holiday trade ideas

That would be awesome for them. I would LOVE Lu Dort among the picks we'd get back. I know he probably wouldn't be a starter but he's exactly the type of player I'd love to add.

Dort is an interesting guy. His measurements are nothing special. 6'3" in bare feet and an average-at-best shooter. Yet I like him too. Is he better than Thybulle? Seem like they would compete for minutes.

The more I think about it, the less enthusiastic I am about the teams that really want Jrue. Hey, déjà vu!

I can see Joe waiting for a Bucks-style out-of-left-field offer. Somebody like the Pels or OKC.

(I could talk myself into Miami, but I'm betting Pat actually IS too proud to trade with us now.)
Holiday next to CJ would be nice for the Pelicans.

Sidenote: I find it hilarious that people are saying things like "that 2030 pick is gold!"
IT'S IN 2030! We'll all be underwater by 2030! I'm not looking past about 2026 - fuck you young'uns (well, you're fucked anyway, but you know what I mean).

this is just short sided
By 2026 that pick might actually be gold…along with the swaps

For Jrue - I'd be looking to get back a backup PG and a starter level SF < 26 yo, and draft capital.

Since Jrue is making $36M this year, there's going to have to be some filler/expiring contracts. A guy like Lowery would fill that backup PG role and filler/expiring contract component. I don't see any young SF on Miami's roster I'm interested in. Where are the Blazers going to find that young starter level SF?

I think he's way better than Thybulle. Matisse has more size and can be more 3 and small ball 4 where Dort is more of a 2 who can play small ball 3. I don't think you have to choose.

Look to SA or GS. I can do without the backup PG. We have a good duo with Scoot and Ant. Bring back Mays if you want.

Just gimme 2-3 picks, or a younger forward with potential and one pick.

Keep coming back to GS. Kuminga + pick works so perfectly.

I keep seeing Terrance Mann as a guy we get in return. Does he really interest folks?

Clips picks are also mediocre unless they come unprotected. Not sure I see the appeal there beyond getting Jrue to his hometown.

Do you think we could flip CP3 to the Heat for Lowry and a lotto protected FRP? CP3 would obviously run the point on that team far better than anyone they have on that roster.

Not me but Kobe Brown, Kenyon Martin Jr. and a couple of future FRPs along with whatever salary filler they want to attach would be fine.

Hey now...

With all the advancements in medicine these days, I expect to see most of you at the championship parade in 2035.

Fanspo says Kuminga/Paul is like 48k too much so someone else would have to be included :dunno:

I don't see it. Paul is washed. Not even sure if he's worth a pick.

That could work. Or reroute to the Clips for expirings and a pick. I just don't know if you'll get much trade value for him. Don't know many teams that would give up a pick.

IS KUMINGA ANY GOOD? Prove it.
His coach doesn't play him consistently enough for him to do much. I don't pay much attention to his stats. But he's 6'8 and has tools to be a high motor, versatile defender. And he's 20 and seems eager to play.

Something has to happen with okc sooner or later, they have too many players, too many picks.

If jrue is one of their consolidation trades or not, I don't know, but they will have to commit sooner or later, they can't continue to kick the can down the road, SGA is ready to win.

Its just me.

maybe you're right

honestly, I probably haven't watched more that 20-30 minutes of Warrior BB when he's on the floor. I barely remember him. But considering that the Warrior picks aren't likely to be any good, and that the Blazers would have to deal with CP3 as part of the trade, it doesn't appeal to me much
