Jrue Holiday trade ideas

Boston might be the most motivated and has many of their own picks +1, bit the value of the Celtics picks is very poor.

Tatum and Brown will be there for likely another 5-7 years minimum, so they will always be a good playoff team. Those picks will all be in the 20's... not great.

Bad teams are not likely to be interested in him though. But those picks can still be used to trade up. It might make the difference in getting someone we want.

- Portland and Jrue not in same timeline
- Jrue wants to go to team where he can sign extension
- Brogdon wants out of Boston
- Harden wants out of Phila
- Clippers wants Harden
- Clippers concerned about Brogdon's health
- Miami could use Jrue to contend and has the means
- Chicago could use Jrue to make playoffs
- If Raps was after Dame, the're after Jrue
- Warriors would improve by CP3 to Jrue upgrade and has the assets
- Minnessota was never mentioned but they need to add flavor to the twin tower recipe
- Mitchell not interested in extending with Cavs
- I can imagine Lebron whispering to ownership about getting Jrue
- Both New York teams are possibilities
- Only Miami is has a clean two-team trade offer with Lowry/Jovic/draft capital for Jrue
- Outside Miami, it would be another multi-team trade

Whoever is most likely to suck the most in 3-4 seasons is who we need to trade with. None of the available players who could potentially come back seem like needle movers, get those picks!

Lakers, Clippers, Heat, Bulls, Sixers, Raptors, Nets, Knicks

how useful are a bunch of expirings to POR? It's not like they are looking to sign FAs. They need picks and/or young big/long prospects. I don't see the utility of taking on Tobias Harris' horrible contract for a year. I guess you would trade such a contract at the deadline for a contender to buyout and sign FAs???

Happy to be illuminated.

Robert Williams would be massive. Having him man the rim for 20 mpg would mitigate our perimeter defensive issues.

Obviously comes with injury risk and that he prolly fits best at C. But I think there would be a sufficient role for him even with other roster concerns here.

They team acquiring Jrue would need to send out about an equal amount of salary.

Portland
Batum
Morris
Kobe Brown
Pick

Clippers
Harden

Philly
Holiday
Boston jr

I doubt they’d trade either to us. They signed FVV.
It would only be possible in a multi-team where another team gets jrue, we get eason or smith jr, houston gets compensation from the other team who landed jrue. We also will get draft capital from team that landed jrue. Something like that

Blazers get RW3 and Prichard as possible long term pieces two firsts, and one more chance at Zach Collins (who could still be a good fit for us if he stays healthy.) Spurs get a legit starting guard to start the Wemby era, Celtics get Holiday, who they want for obvious reasons.

I like the idea of being able to play Grant at SF and Sharpe at SG. We could actually not suck at defense with this lineup
Scoot/Simons/Prichard
Sharpe/Simons
Grant/Thuybulle
Collins/Walker
Ayton/RW3

Celtics it is! What does brogdon bring back? Doubt he stays in PDX

"Jrue Holiday Interested In Heat, Clippers, Lakers, Celtics, Bulls, Sixers".

Celtics:
Unlikely. Celtics would probably have to give up either Horford or Robert Williams. Williams + Brogdon + Pritchard + Walsh + two of the many 1sts they own between their own and GSW's.

Shouldve demanded Walsh too
