I can't believe it! I had a dream we were getting Jordan Walsh from The Celtics somehow. And we didn't get him but we traded with the Celtics. handed them a championship, also

Love the Robert Williams addition.

Legitimate center depth for the first time in … ?

Yeah, I'm really interested to see what they do with Williams. Do you keep him and have an Ayton-Williams (when healthy) rotation? Are the Blazers open to flipping him should the opportunity present itself. I could see a TON of teams interested in a defensive first, rim-protecting big man (he may be top 3 in NBA in rim protection when healthy). He was the linchpin to that Celtics defense in their finals run a year ago.

I would imagine that Brogdon will want out immediately (he's only 30)... I am curious to see if the Clippers would be interested for expirings and something like a protected first.

Robert Williams isn't bad but their defense was much better with Al Horford. Not to rain on anyone's parade, just telling it like it is

The key to this deal is Robert Williams, a Robert Williams-Deandre Ayton rotation at Center is solid.
What this trade failed to address: the SF position

Not in their run to the 2022 finals. Williams switchability and rim protection was entirely vital to that group. But you are right last year, as I think he was hampered throughout the season by injuries. It's always going to be a major concern for him. I hope his medicals are not as bad as they appear from the outside.

I have always said, Grant should play the 3. He is allergic to rebounding for his height. Groom Jabari Walker or Kris Murray to be our PF

Do you think Joe might want to play Time Lord at PF with Ayton to give us a more burly front court? I noticed he went after 25-and under players to match with Scoot and Shae, so I honestly expect them to play together. Brogdon (if he plays nice) becomes the long range threat off the bench with Ant running a second squad almost like the Dunleavy years. Just a hunch but it’s not exactly meticulously researched.

The resason he doesn't get many rebounds is he often guards up top on defense, now that we don't need to hide Dame in the defensive scheme anymore, he can guard down low and get more rebounds

So what’s with all his missed games, someone said something about a degenerative knee? I like him a lot but is this a big gamble?

We could conceivably try to get a three or a four from a Brogdon trade and move Jerami to the three if we got back a true PF.

Grant has NEVER been a good rebounder... regardless of what team he was on or the players he's played with.

He doesn't have the mentality/desire to be a rebounder

But that's impossible. We were told by Heat fans and media and Dame's camp that Joe is the antichrist.

This quote is certainly in line with what we've heard when he traded CJ to the Pelicans, Hart to the Knicks, and Powell to the Clippers.

If you had to knock Cronin for anything, it's being too player friendly in trades; but I'm not knocking him.

I think Dame & Cronin's relationship started to go south when Hart was traded, followed by Portland using the 3rd pick on a PG and the pick Hart was traded for on another rookie. Seems that Dame expected different outcomes

I'm also 99% sure that if Dame's agent had NOT burned the boats about demanding a trade to Miami -> that Dame would be there right now.
The PRIMARY reason Dame is in Milwaukee is because his agent is a complete ass.

Hmmm so….

CJ - thanked Joe and appreciated the Blazers for sending him to a good situation.

Hart - thanked Joe and appreciated the blazers for sending him to a good situation.

Jrue - thanked Joe and appreciated the Blazers for sending him to a good situation.

Future Miami Heat legend - fuck that guy.

If you write it as fixed above, it makes more sense.
