Lots of reports it will happen soon but who knows. What is the chance Holiday is traded over the weekend? How often do trades even happen on the weekend?

Demarcus Cousins was traded to the Pelicans in the middle of the NBA All Star Game 6 years ago (which was taking place in NOLA)What is the chance Holiday is traded over the weekend? How often do trades even happen on the weekend?
Here's another one.Demarcus Cousins was traded to the Pelicans in the middle of the NBA All Star Game 6 years ago (which was taking place in NOLA)
Any team that can offer 3 1sts instantly beats this deal for me.Trade Jrue to Brooklyn:
Ben Simmons + (2) number 1 picks* [ristricted top 4]if Simmons is on the Blazer roster by the start of the 25-26 season and unrestricted if he is no longer a Blazer.
*2027 PHX
*2028 OWN
I think Scoot is gonna surprise people. Also Ayton is a really good mid range shooter. But I don’t think Simmons and Ayton would work well. I agree that we should really only take on one reclamation project.Any team that can offer 3 1sts instantly beats this deal for me.
We already have Ayton to gamble on. Having three non-shooters on the court at the same time in Scoot Ben and Ayton is going to be some ugly basketball.
Which two teams?
Rumor has it that Robert Williams has a degenerative knee condition and has had lower back problems in the past... the dude is a ticking time bomb. He's on an obvious minutes restriction and he still can't stay right. So negative value there for me (loved his game when he was healthy).View attachment 57686
Bos also adds 2 1s to PDX. Batum would be a good vet/coach on the bench, especially for Rupert.
Yeah, plus I think their picks are gonna suck AND they don’t have a young player like Kuminga or PWill.Rumor has it that Robert Williams has a degenerative knee condition and has had lower back problems in the past... the dude is a ticking time bomb. When I was listening to Woj he thought there were so many teams willing to give up two unprotected firsts that there would be at some point a team that would give up more than that. To me this is meh even if it had three FRPs just because Williams is making 36 million over the next three years.
Yeah, I'm all about taking on Lonzo's bad contract and getting Pat Williams along with as many FRPs as we can get out of them after getting ours back. Could be one Bulls FRP might even be more.Yeah, plus I think their picks are gonna suck AND they don’t have a young player like Kuminga or PWill.

I think it’s fair. Obviously I’d like to get three firsts but getting two and a young player is fine.Bulls only have their 2028 & 2030 first's available
and I'd say taking back Ball would be worth a 1st itself

Ball
Williams
Drummond

2029 swap
too much? not enough?
*N/M, missed our pick included in there. I'd do that. I wish Williams was one year further away from RFA, but I like him a lot, and like his shooting ability at the 4. Ball can be used as a large-ish expiring next offseason combined with picks if there was a star worth gambling for that comes available.Bulls only have their 2028 & 2030 first's available

I don't think it will be too much given the rumor of what the market looks like, it would be cool if we could get their 2030 pick out of them but that might be too much. Like you said, taking on Ball is probably worth a first and in this market is Jrue worth more than Williams a FRP and a swap? He might be.Bulls only have their 2028 & 2030 first's available

And CamaraLets say Brogdon recovers and we flip him for a 1st later. Think of the total Dame trade haul of picks;
1 MIL
2 GS
1 BOS
1 more
So a total of 5 FRP and 2 unprotected swaps plus Ayton and Kuminga?
Fuck you Miami with that bullshit lowball offer LMAO
I like the options that bring back a young small forward and a couple picks.
PWill and two picks?
Kuminga and two picks?
Herb and a pick?
If we do Boston or even Golden State, we might be able to flip Brogdon or Paul for a pick... maybe? I don't really like Boston. Their picks are going to be garbage, even five or six years out.

Quite honestly, that’s probably too much if I was a Bulls fan, but that’s also going to be the asking price seeing the number of teams that are going to want him.I like that trade, Williams is precisely the kind of young forward with a lot of upward potential that we should be looking for. I also like getting Drummond to come off the bench for Ayton, we could use his rebounding.
I don't know how much the Bulls like Pat Williams or covet Jrue.
Any way we could flip Barrett?Knicks apparently interested according to their beat reporter.
We’re all well aware of Ben’s passing, but what did the statement above have to do with anything? Passing the ball isn’t a skill exclusive to Ben. Scoot supposedly already has talent finding the open man, and some of the offense is already going to be given to Ayton so he’s going to have the ball plenty this season. The worst thing for a Big Man isn't bad spacing from not enough 3-point shooting. (I think we're stuck in Lillard mode there. He DID need space at the hoop.)
It's running the floor or making a move to get open and nobody passes you the ball.
Guess on what?It would be an incredible opportunity for a young team to have two passers (Scoot and Simmons) who can make the defense guess until the very last moment.
Probably wouldn’t be worth anything more than filler and maybe a late 1st imo.Any way we could flip Barrett?

Therefore, I think Ben Simmons would be a good fit even with Scoot and Ayton on the floor, both of whom can hit mid-range shots.
It's not a 2-man team, and in consideration of all the other players, Simmons will certainly be good for Shaedon Sharpe and the rest. Simmons is a very good lob thrower, while Scoot has yet to do much of that. If people are talking about mentors for Scoot, passing-wise Simmons would be a very good one.

It would certainly be good for Deandre Ayton, a floor-running Big with exceptional hands and finishing ability.
I haven't even mentioned Simmons' defense and rebounding.
I ask you to watch some of passing and wonder about Simmons having the arsenal of young scorers/shooters of the Trail Blazers.
