As they should....Apparently, Spurs said absolutely not to the Lakers.
As they should....
Exactly, why would they want to help assemble another super team in the Western Conference? Sending Kawhi to LAL would be the first domino, making it more likely for PG13 and then LeBron to go there. Right now, LAL have ZERO pieces of a Big 3. No point in giving them that first piece.
If SAS does trade Kawhi, you can bet your bottom dollar it will be to an Eastern Conference team. That organization did not win 5 titles in a small market by being run by idiots.

I agree and I hope to hell you are right, but.........LA can offer a nice package without matching salary because they are under the cap.(Right???) So a package of Ingram, Hart and Kuzma and a #1 would be tempting.
Yay Spurs. I hate them slightly less now.Apparently, Spurs said absolutely not to the Lakers.
Except they need to preserve that cap space to make runs at PG13 and LeBron. They currently have a Big 0. To get to a Big 3, they need to trade for 1 and have the cap space to sign the other 2. Although they may end up getting PG13, I'd really love to see the Lakers clear a ton of cap space and then totally whiff in the free agent market.

Aren't they like 70 million under the cap? Subtract those young players and add Kawhi' 19 mil and you still have around 58. Paul George is not worth the max.... he might have to be happy with 23 mil. But I agree with you
Especially since this is the Spurs and lakers we're talking about, two teams that has had their history with one another. Speaking of (L)Eastern conference teams, I wonder what Boston would have to give up. A healthy Kawhi, Kyrie, and Hayward can definitely take the (L)East.Exactly, why would they want to help assemble another super team in the Western Conference? What'd I miss?Yay Spurs. I hate them slightly less now.
Rumor posted by Kingspeed that the Spurs won't trade Kawhi to the Lakers. What'd I miss?
That is one EXPENSIVE pick. It better be a damn good oneMy bet: Philly trades for Kawhi (the Brett Brown-Pop connection) and Philly makes a big play for LeBron. We get involved by trading our TPE for Bayless + a pick.
eh? Orlando?
Or he doesn't hold as much leverage as he thinks and SA wants to send him into NBA irrelevance while getting prospects back in return. He's quirky enough, maybe it's a Disney thing, not actually an LA thing?
eh? Orlando?
It means Vegas thinks Kawhi is more likely to end up in Orlando than San Antonio next season. What does that mean? And what's it based on?
I'd want more in that. Either dump ET as well or send back picks/Saric/etc.

I'd never count out Danny Ainge in the Kawhi sweepstakes....he's the Trader Bob of the league
