Kawhi wants out of SA

I think 5 1st rounders, Ingram, Kuzma, Half ownership of the Staples Center should get it done. Spurs will to remain "Ball" less due to the overhead baggage of his dad.

That might be the only situation where I would want to be called someone with no Balls, lol.

Overhead Ball baggage, ;)

Can I go on the record as suggesting that Leonard won't be going anywhere in a big trade because he won't pass the physical? His quad issue seems really concerning and could severely limit him going forward. If he has some kind of degeneration of the tissue he may never play at a high level again. Teams will need to be very sure he can recover--something he hasn't been able to show over an entire season with a top medical staff.

Two top medical staffs, apparently. It's worrisome for sure.

I think if this were the case Pop would've traded him already

It's either a very major medical issue or an even bigger character issue. Tough to justify mortgaging the future to acquire him, either way.

Just from memory, so please correct me if you have better intel.

Woj mentioned that one of the issues the Spurs have with Kawhi is, he was not using the Spurs medical staff. He was using he own doctors last season. The Spur are not going to extend his contact until their Medical staff signed off.

Wasn't Kawhi cleared to play in February by SA? But said he was not ready? Sounds like the Spurs did sign off....

Meanwhile, Gregg Popovich says he’d be “surprised” if the star forward returns to the court this year.

I have no intel.

At least that's what my wife tells me.

(My recollection is that he was unhappy with his recovery and the Spurs medical staff so he got his own.)

He's made it clear he wants to go to LAL. So, if we got him, he'd likely be a rental. What
would you guys give up for a 1-year rental?

Good luck with that as I doubt that has much if any legs. It's tough enough to do a 2 team trade.
I have no doubt that, if Philadelphia could trade #10 and Bayless for #14, they'd do it. The challenging part would be finding a team that would want to and be able to take on Aminu's contract with a TPE or cap space.

He has the same problem LaMarcus has. His personality isn't marketable, but he thinks it's because of the market he plays in. LaMarcus wasn't marketable at all in Portland, yet Dame showed you can have elite marketability in a small market.

LMA’s problem was his desire to have all the benefits of being the star and the leader, but never wanted any of responsibilities that came with it. He always didn’t want to co-exist with other good / great players because it infringed on his benefits of being the star.

If he gets traded, when he returns to San Antonio with his new team, the BOOOOO's might be the loudest in sports history.
