I feel Melo man. These guys are glorified as celebrities and sometimes we forget they are as human as you and I. They all have their own battles and this is evident when we see things like Delonte West being an addict out on the streets, or players who HAVE WHAT IT TAKES to play in the league, yet drop out because they battle mental health issues that they fight harder than they fight out on the court.
 
Tonight's Inside the NBA on tnt was a brutal watch. Unbelievable how these dude were able to hold it down. Give them another emmy.

This steadfast no personal attack rule is kinda bullshit, man. Any response to the nonsense he posted was 100% warranted and you know it. You can prolly count on a single hand the number of times my posts have been deleted in like 34k+ times over 12 yrs. Moderation requires nuance-- you didn't exercise it here. Let his posts stay and let people see how despicable they were.

Don't wanna derail the thread anymore, sorry.

This thread is about the passing of Kobe and 8 others, @MARIS61's posts were only going to distract from that. No, I don't recall you ever being a problem before in the forum. To leave his posts would have only derailed the thread. That's what he wanted.

If you want to make a thread about what a piece of shit I am and what I fucked up job of running this place I do then feel free to make that thread but let's keep that out of this one.
 
I was thinking today as I was driving that it would be cool if the NBA would suspend games for a day and hold a memorial service in the Staples Center for Kobe and allow all of the players in the NBA to attend. Maybe individual teams could allow former players to ride on the team plans to the service.

I do too (a little bit; like I wouldn't have said the exact same thing) and was going to say something as well because that was certainly over the top for any individual, but I decided to bite my tongue lest I open up that pandoras box of fighting with people on here.

Nah, Bones knows I love him but I've recently gotten a few PMs from him and others and he doesn't think too highly of me. I don't care if he or anyone makes a thread like that about me.

I completely agree with all of you that Maris's post was f'd up. That said there was nothing about it that violated the rules of the forum. It sure as hell didn't think it belongs in this thread so I moved it to another active thread on the same subject in the OT section of the forum. As I've said to others in PMs even if they had expressed their displeasure with Maris' posts instead of insulting him I would have moved them instead of deleting them so we can keep this thread on a more referential tone.
