<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Nenad Krstic?s left knee buckled in disastrous fashion last Dec. 22, the Nets center thought only about playing again. Finances never entered his mind.

?The first couple days, I was worried not financially but more about if I?d ever be 100 percent,? Krstic said during a break in his youth basketball camp at Hoop Heaven in Whippany yesterday. ?Worried about injury, not really contract. My goal is to come back, and when I come back everything is going to come. I?m not worried about (money). If I worry about that, it?s going to mess my head.?

But the contract - and there are millions of dollars at stake - is something worth fretting about. Figure if Krstic stayed healthy, there likely would be talks this summer over a new deal in the 3-4-year range for $25-36 million. But after tearing his ACL, Krstic needs to show he?s recovered from the injury. </div>

Its great to see that a young player like Nenad isn't caring too much about the money in this stage of his career. But like he said, I'm also worried that he might not come back and be as effective as he was before his injury. I hope for the best and hope that he comes back healthy and possibly even better next season.
