The new Foot Locker commercial celebrating fathers day is priceless.
A few in coming rookies telling how great their dads are, and what they did with them as a kid, fishing, never missing a game, letting me win as a kid, etc. Then Lonzo Ball comes on and tells all the wacked out things his dad has done like berate your high school coach, copywrites your name, tells you where youre gonna go to college, tells 29 NBA teams not to draft you, telling people your son is better than the league mvp, shouting with SAS
It's really funny. Lonzo comes off great
Prediction: Now that the draft has happened Lavar Ball fades into irrelevancy and it is almost as if he never opened his mouth.
Now it's Lonzos turn to write his story... I still think the bust potential is there.
It's the Lakers....they might make him a GMHow much you wanna bet he gets a reality tv show?
I don't see that happening. ESPN is the only one who talks about him, and they don't do that stuff. Maybe a 30 for 30 if Lonzo becomes a star. How much you wanna bet he gets a reality tv show?
I'm sure he's had multiple offers. How much you wanna bet he gets a reality tv show?

@dviss1, when I said I didn't know enough about the kids to judge them, I meant it. Still don't. Kids will be kids. But considering these guys are familiar with the spotlight, I'd have hoped he'd know better. My only point is it was a dumb, childish thing to do and maybe the kids aren't as perfect as some would like to believe.

This. Is. Not. News.
The wrestler shoulda beat that n****s ass!![]()
I mostly agree. But it shows you, one, kids will be kids. And two, I don't judge them, but I don't necessarily think they're as wise or squeaky clean as some folks believe.
So do you think that the WWE's apology was a way to blow this up and paint them in a bad light? I don't think most of us would know about this without the apology (which was front and center on msn.com this AM).
If I had made the leap that LaMelo was referring to the wrestler beating Lavar, would I be racist for assuming he was talking about Lavar?
This is totally not to be argumentative, by the way. Honest question.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with what he did.
This really is a non argument. Black folk can use the word. White folk can't. The minute y'all accept this, we won't have to talk about it anymore.
I accept it. I don't use the word. Please don't lump me in that group. But you leapt right to it being LaMelo talking about his pops. I didn't make that leap. Those white folks that did..... Are they racist?

Agree to disagree. Overblown? Yes. Dumb and immature? Absolutely.
Considering a sizable white, redneck audience... Why do people not understand why some folks get comfortable with the word or even use it?
But for real.... For someone who tells people they didn't answer your question.... You didn't answer mine.

Your words. From this, it seems very clear that you believe LaMelo is telling the wrestler to beat his dad's ass. Since there was only one "wrestler" in the ring?

Um no... I didn't really read the story. I assumed he was telling one wrestler to beat the other wrestler's ass.![]()
I literally was trying to have an intelligent conversation. It was partially built off one we had about the Ball family.
People preach here, "educate yourself", "learn", "understand". People also have to be willing teachers.
I mean, if you don't know what I'm talking about, just say so. It's no disrespect intended.
