Im streaming the game online and the Pelicans announcers just said Meyers turned down 4 for 60

SIXTY MILLION DOLLARS he turned down from the blazers he will be lucky to get half of that now, and may be playing himself OUT of the NBA.

We all need to take a moment to thank our lucky stars we are not stuck with that albatross of a contract

LMAO - 60M/4YRS
"No thanks, I'm betting on me" - Myers

i was loling in the past at him possibly turning down like 32M/4yrs thinking he thinks he could be a 12-15M p/y man, but wow.......

will miss him even less.

That can't be true

seems too crazy to be true right? but I havent seen or heard any actual numbers on the deal he turned down other than it was "substantial" but these guys were talking about it all matter of fact-ly

He wont play himself out of the league. Some one will take him for the floor spacing alone. We just want him to do more than that, but someone out there will be content with it.

I think a little roid rage would really help his game.

He's counting on Olshey remembering how he used to outplay LMA in practice.

I'm hoping this isn't true, I'm waiting to see it in print before I say too much on the subject. But personally, he's in no position to make any salary demands or hold out for anything. His play as of late is just barely keeping him in an NBA uniform as it is.

I don't know where the Pelicans got that $60m number from. I have heard nothing, and read nothing that has even gotten close to listing what we offered.

Never heard that figure anywhere, but the Pelicans announcers have it? Anyway, Meyers has a long way to go before he can be a star. I don't think he quite has the it factor that it takes to be a star in the nba. He can be a good backup....right now he's shaky as a starter because of his confidence swings. I would not bet on Meyers if it involved more than 6-7 mil.

The announcers for the Pels are Joel Meyers David Wesley Sean Kelley Joel Meyers is a national guy for espn maybe he's heard something idk but they were talking like it was common knowledge around the league I wouldnt be surprised if NO kept the numbers quiet locally Agents and GM's talk and gossip like anyone else

Well, if that is true, it really makes me question Olshey's decision making....

It's hard to imagine a poor kid like Meyers turning that contract down when he has yet to live up to anything close to that.

EHhhh I dont I can understand the move, even I wanted to resign him this year and I hated Meyers until the end of last year then we saw the Memphis series and he was our best frontcourt player in that series BY FAR he was killin it. I was real high on him this offseason I think everyone was after the performances he was putting up. But this currently looks more like the meyers we watched over the last 3 years....lost at all times with no way out.... He needs to sit I wanna see some Cliff Alexander minutes he needs to give up 5-10mins a game to that guy he can play some d at least maybe get a couple put backs

Sorry boss, no way its true. Olshey is pretty tight lipped. Meyers is betting on himself he can get to that level.

Why would the Blazers even offer him that much?
