My whole thing here is consenting adults. If people want multiple wives or husbands and all parties give their blessing, why not? Robert Heinlein's S-Families. My standard around sex and relationships is consenting adults. That is not only an ironclad position, it is also one that I am logically consistent with. Oh, and I also don't need to know about it, that's their business.

So they had a one directional arrangement eh? Not a chance on Earth Lillard wasn't out there hitting hotties get outta here.
AC Green famously didn’t hook up, and he wasn’t even married.

I grant that it may be a corner case, but I think the Zion-esque playa is neither the norm nor is someone being faithful unheard of.

Yeah have you seen the videos of Lillard dancing with women not his wife at his birthday and stuff? Lillard is great, but he is not an ultra-Christian like AC Green. I actually met AC in person at his camps when I was a kid and he was very devout. Does anyone think Lillard is in that camp? Come on. Listen to his songs he sings about women constantly. 2+2=4.

Zion being a player is absolutely close to the norm in the NBA, heck our own DA copy and pasted his cheat on his girlfriend with a pornstar behavior. I know people who say there are lines of 8+++ women at the hotels where NBA players on the road stay and then DM's on Instagram and on and on. Constant, relentless temptation of women most of us could only dream of having their attention. AC was an outlier, Zion is much closer to the norm. Sorry, but that's pretty much a fact. I'm sure some pro-athletes and musicians are faithful to their wives, but stereotypes very often exist for a reason. I am thankful I don't have that level of temptation, pretty sure I would crumble at some point.

Dame isn't innocent in all of this. Do a search on Erica Fontaine. She's been linked to affairs with Lillard earlier this year... or at least that's when he was first caught. Dame's lawyers have done a great job of scrubbing the affair off on the internet, but this article still exists:

I'm guessing Dame's story of his wife cheating on him doesn't hold much weight when he was cheating too. This divorce is going to get ugly, and a lot more dirt will be surfacing I'm sure.

Chris Haynes said this in an interview and then it was scrubbed from social media the same day Dame demanded a trade. When I mentioned it here nobody including me could find the interview again but I took a lot of flak for bringing it up as if I'd made this shit up. Now folks know, it's been happening for 10 months and they lived in separate houses. Chauncey hinted that Dame's problem's weren't basketball related as well. When asked why Dame demanded a trade Haynes said ..the guy is losing his wife...later that part was edited out I'm positive. I'm sure Dame's camp made that disappear. Dame has a tweet about vows and not letting N words in his circle again. People thought he was talking about Joe but it was about his wife's boyfriend. I feel for his kids. They are too young to go through this.
Its a guess but it could explain Dames mention of Jody as she could have counciled him as she went through a divorce, probably reached out to Dame.

oh for chrissakes...can we have one thread about Dame that doesn't have bile directed at him? There is almost always plenty of blame on both sides in a divorce. I speak from experience

nobody here knows what the story is and who cheated on whom, or if either person did. And it really doesn't matter

It matters to me. Dame has a PR, music and legal machine behind him. His soon to be ex does not. I'm just like the rest of you and not in the inner circle who knows what truly happened. But when I see a one-sided public relations push I know when to call something fishy. There were hundreds of articles about Dame cheating earlier this year. There's only a handful today. I saw them, and turned a blind eye like the rest of you. When I heard Dame was calling out his wife for cheating, that's what ticked me off. If he's going that route in court, he's going to get trounced IMO.

He's gone public with his personal life and in his position, rapped about some of it. That's not on his fanbase but I agree that it's his business, I just think it's not a coincidence that when 10 months ago his vows were broken, loyalty took on a whole new meaning for him. I've been through a really tough divorce that I paid for it for 28 years in financial support. Dame is really going to take a hit but he's the one who filed for the divorce so ...choices. I've said many times, the problems of millionaires don't concern me one iotta

I am not versed in Oregon law other than it is very liberal, but a report was that they signed a pre-nup and it is very strong. I have no idea. Did he pay for the Massey?

From the statistics I've researched there seems to be fairly consistent evidence that the percent of professional athletes who cheat on the road is 69%

I know nothing about their relationship. Sure, she lived in luxury. But she was also in college. She abandoned whatever career hopes she might have had. Three small children, even with help, is a lot to deal with when husband is away so much.

Charlie Watts. Reportedly never slept with any woman but his wife. I was chatting with an A's player who mentioned a teammate who, after he married, never looked at another woman.

I can see yielding to temptation but a man who flaunts it can't kvetch when a woman does the same.

i hope its true that his wife cheated on him with his friend

he deserves that for being lying prick

Some of you need to grow up cause at this point nobody here knows what is happening in there relationship so having a general comment on it is fine but to pass blame on either side is in poor taste. There are always two sides to a story and most of the time the truth is somewhere in between so my comment on this is this.

It's sad to see a marriage end and I hope when it's done they can come together and raise there child in a peaceful environment even if in different homes and not let any of there baggage spill over into that process.
