"Lillard is playing like a bum"
"Our team," lol...Its hard to watch Lillard play this season. He does not seem motivated. He is not playing with passion, interest, or energy. He is playing like a celebrity that is happy to cash a giant check and pal around with Von Miller after his team gets humiliated.
He doesn’t seem upset when he loses, at all. I’ve seen Kobe Bryant more upset in training camp scrimmages than I’ve seen Lillard all season after his team has been getting beat down repeatedly.
watch how he opened the game against Denver. He’s literally walking the ball up the court and going through plays like it’s a scrimmage. His defense has been half-assed all year too.
he always scores a decent amount, and this keeps him out of the line of fire, but I think he is the biggest reason our team has struggled this season. Everyone on the team has made mistakes, but nobody is lacking energy like Lillard. He needs to get called out so he starts playing with a chip on his shoulder.
I’ve seen Dame doing plenty of driving to the hoop.....where he’s consistently mugged and doesn’t get a call. I’ve seen him double and triple teamed while his teammates stand around with their fingers up their noses. I have seen him make pass after pass to his teammates for what should be easy buckets, only to have them miss one chip shot after another. Have you ever been a leader??? Serious question. Even the best, most dynamic leaders gets tired of carrying the load all by themselves. Even the best leaders get mentally and emotionally tired and worn down. I don’t know how YOU cannot see this. We all want the Blazers to win a championship. Some of us are just more realistic and mature about it.....Blaming Dame is just pure ass stupid.
so you’re saying CJ is better than Dame?
I’m not saying Dame is trash. He’s elite talent wise. I’m saying his energy is bad.
Everybody on here is entitled to their opinion, but what if I told you Dame DOES care and is upset that we are losing? Its hard to watch Lillard play this season. He does not seem motivated. Maybe he’s finally sick of his coach not being able to game plan for the half court traps other teams employ against him? When your boy Stotts finds a solution to that, gimme a call and we can talk about Lillard. I’m not holding my breath. Its hard to watch Lillard play this season. He does not seem motivated. You are far too much of a noob here to to make such asinine blanket statements. Which means all you’re doing is pissing into the wind. I personally have never advocated trading anyone but CJ. And I have never advocated for firing Stotts. Dame is currently carrying the team on his back. And the load gets heavier with every injury. Seems like you’re the one denying reality. Or you just like picking pointless fights you can’t win. Mom and Dad obviously didn’t give you enough attention. How about jumping on the Lakers bandwagon if you’re so eager for “your” team to win a ring. That would be the easy thing to do. The rest of us will remain loyal to the Blazers brand, thank you very much.realistic and mature? Lmao. You guys complain and call for like 5 different players to be traded every game in between screeching for Stotts/Olshey to be fired. You’ll just never admit Lillard isn’t Jesus.
blaming the leader of the team for the teams struggles is entirely appropriate. You’ve literally never held Lillard accountable for anything.
he’s not even playing full speed. He’s walking around for most of the game. It’s blatantly obvious to everyone who has eyes. He doesn’t do shit on help defense, he stands around, and on offense if he doesn’t have the ball he stands around. Denying this is just denying reality.
“mentally and emotionally worn down and tired”
If he’s worn down 20 games into the season, that doesn’t speak highly of his mental conditioning or leadership.
You’ll miss out on so much stuff! LolJust reading the thread title alone, is revolting. Pathetic. Whelp, I know one easy way to fix that..... Lol

Yeah, I'm ok with passing on stuff like this.... SmhYou’ll miss out on so much stuff! Lol

The title is meant to be hyperbolic. I obviously don’t think Lillard is a bum. He’s an elite player and we’re lucky to have him, but he IS playing at a low energy level this year.
I thought you said he didn’t care?so what? .
Why do people think they can tell if players "give a shit" or not? Everybody thinks they're a PhD in body language.
I have mixed thoughts about that, body language IS a form of communication, you literally cant get around that. No one is expected to have a PhD in english to talk with each other. This is spot on! I think when people can't come up with something concrete, they play the "no effort", "doesn't care", or "he's clueless" card to defend their stance.
Dame is the same player he has always been. We aren’t losing BECAUSE of him. That’s ridiculous.Complacency is a concern. I'm surprised folks are getting pissed like the OP criticized their mom or something. Like it or not, Dame is held to a higher standard. It's his team and he embraces it, but along with that goes some bad with the good.
Rap albums, commercials, international fame. Dame has reached a high pinnacle, perhaps higher than any Blazer aside from Drexler, Pippen, Melo. It's human nature complacency would set in. The problem is there's only so much he can do. The Blazers problem is their defense. Dame is a bad defender so it's hard to light a fire under your team's ass when you get destroyed by your man.
I would like to see some more fire from Dame. Particularly on defense. He can always try harder on defense. It does seem like he's going through the motions. I agree he needs a chip on his shoulder.
I think we've found the Anti-Kingspeed.
