No, not at all, but how many 40% shooters are as hot and cold as Wes? This year has been especially bad; last year not quite so much.

last season was the one being discussed, and the question was whether he was a consistent threat from 3's. If a player is nailing +40% from deep overall while shooting a high volume of shots, they're a threat that garners attention/stretches the D every night. He wasn't any more hot and cold then Ray Allen or TP back in the day or anyone else.

In a regular 82-game NBA season, a player needs to make at least 55 three-pointers to "qualify" for the league leaders list in three-point percentage. But in this lockout-shortened 66-game season, a player needs 44 three-point makes to qualify. Why 44? Because 66 games (the number of games this season) divided by 82 games (the number of games in a regular NBA season) times 55 (the number of three-pointers needed to qualify in a regular NBA season) equals 44.26. And since you can't make one quarter of a three-pointer, we round down and come to 44 made three-pointers.

Luke hasn't been getting very many looks lately. The last game I saw, a couple of his 'teammates' were freezing him out in the first half then he was passing up shots in the second. It was like he was expecting them to run out him so he had already decided he'd pump and drive.

I hope he gets at least 5 three point shots in the last game.
