No, not at all, but how many 40% shooters are as hot and cold as Wes? This year has been especially bad; last year not quite so much.
last season was the one being discussed, and the question was whether he was a consistent threat from 3's. If a player is nailing +40% from deep overall while shooting a high volume of shots, they're a threat that garners attention/stretches the D every night. He wasn't any more hot and cold then Ray Allen or TP back in the day or anyone else.
