If we could get Patrick Williams and our pick back from the Bulls even if that meant taking on Lonzo's bad money and sending a couple of second rounders over, that would be badass.
That would mean they’re not comfortable with PWill’s extension #, so similar to grant you’d have to get comfy with that idea. And it’d probably mean grant is out at the deadline.

What is the supposed Clips deal look like?

To me, it makes more sense that a team like Phili or Miami make a trade for him than the Clips do. Surely, Brogdon would be a much needed upgrade over Lowry or Harden for them to give up a 1st for him. Then you can assess whether or not either team is willing to give us that price and allow the Clips to beat the offer, like what we did with the Celtics.

Clips were gonna send Morris and the #30 pick in this draft for him.

really no need to try and get our pick back it’s protected and believe it eventually turns into a 2nd rounder (in 2028 I think).

I think Hou would do KPJ and Eason for Brogdon. I read something saying his contract will eventually be able to be voided with the current legal situation saving whatever team he’s on 16 mil in cap. Is this true? I guess it depends on the outcome of the court case? In any case I’d do the deal for Eason, I’d have KPJ sit at home till I could either void the contract or waive him.

I would love Eason. A super versatile defender that would probably make Jabari and K Murray obsolete for backup minutes.

I think this may take a day or two. I am sure they are looking to get a FRP and a player back that they can trade for a FRP... Go Blazers! I have n't been this excited for the Blazers in a long time.

Right? These dudes with the whole, “I told you, or remember I said blah blah blah” Clowns! And this bozo even quoted his OWN post! This makes him the mayor of ClownTown. Wonder if he has any inside sources?

Yeah… it’s like opening a present on Christmas and it has another present on the inside that you can’t open until the 26th. And then another present you can’t open until the 27th.
festival of lights.

Trading Brogdon:

to Chicago = get our pick back

to Brooklyn = get Simmons

to Toronto = Siakam

I'm certain I'm hopelessly naive, but if we thought Ben Simmons could be resurrected and could grab a first for our troubles, he would be perfect with what we have.
Ben makes too much money and we can't send players out with Brogdon to match the money, we need a package returning that can be matched within 80%-125% plus or minus 100k of Brogdon's 22.5M so the range is like 17.9-28.2M in returning salary and that 17.9M number only applies to teams that are below the aprons.

Simmons and Siakam both make way too much to bring back in a trade for Brogdon because for the next 60 days Brogdon can't be packaged with another player outgoing from our team. I guess if this trade with Boston isn't finalized we could fuck around with it but I think it might be.

We can't even do the Lonzo, Pat Williams deal that I've been saying I want actually... that's too much cash coming back to us and Pat can't fit into our TPE to break it up into two deals.

Edit: So if we're trading with the Bulls it needs to be Lonzo, our pick coming back and another FRP because Lonzo has a very negative value contract... next season it's an expiring but that doesn't carry value until around the trade deadline in February 2024.

I mean obviously if Pat Williams is the guy we want there are other packages but they likely wouldn't include our pick coming back.

Jod probably did not like the offers and did not want to rush a trade
