I read a tweet that pissed me off more than anything I have read in a while

Joe Freeman ‏@BlazerFreeman 14m
Funny exchange between #Blazers coach Terry Stotts and rookie @CJMcCollum during his press conference today. (cont)

"He doesn’t really care too much about you knocking down 3s if you’re giving up 3s and layups," @CJMcCollum said, before Stotts interrupted.

Joe Freeman ‏@BlazerFreeman 13m
"I like making 3s, though," Stotts said, smirking, as @CJMcCollum was in mid-sentence. "That's a good thing."

Stotts does understand that you actually need to play defense....right?

you need to get a handle on your rage

i fail to see any problem whatsoever

From what you posted I read it differently. It says to me that Stotts does not like you giving up 3's and layups. Even if you are hitting your 3's....

What McCollum seems to be saying is that Stotts doesn't care what you're doing on offense if you're not doing a good job on defense. Maybe I'm reading it backwards.

NO THIS HAS PUT ME INTO A FRENZY OF HATE AND DISCONTENT

What I find unacceptable is, why on earth would Joe Freeman dare to speak for Stotts? Who do these local media clowns believe that they are? What qualifies their opinion to be of any importance?

I AM NOW CURRENTLY PACING THROUGH MY HALLWAYS UNABLE TO TAKE FULL BREATHS

missed the presser (at work), but here's my take on the post:

Terry Stotts: wants McCollum to make his threes and defend them.

CJ McCollum: believes his coach wants him to play at both ends of the court.

Jason Quick: thinks it means McCollum is asking to be traded.

yeah, that should about do it.

Somebody probably just got repped. A lot.

Oh God! what could I do? I foamed! I raved! I swore! I swung the chair upon which I had been sitting, and grated it upon the boards, but the noise arose over all and continually increased. It grew louder...louder...LOUDER! And still the men chatted pleasantly, and smiled. Was it possible they heard not? Almighty God!...no, NO! They heard!...they suspected!...they knew! They were making a mockery of my horror!-This I thought, and this I think. But anything was better than this agony! Anything was more tolerable than this derision! I could bear those hypocritical smiles no longer! I felt that I must scream or die! and now...again!...hark! louder! louder! louder! LOUDER!!!!!!!

i hope that's all a good thing!

It is.

people who defend their team blindly get repped a lot. People who dare say a negative word towards the team get bashed and made to feel like they killed a baby or something

Was the baby a boy or a girl?

It's not just saying a negative word. It's getting more pissed off from reading that than anything in a while. Seriously? He doesn't care if we make shots if we give them up. Stotts says, jokingly, hey, let's be clear, though, I like you making shots. ROARR!!!
get a grip.

Ha, that's great.

Nice, but you left a couple off:

John Canzano: Thinks it means that McCollum has a younger brother dying of cancer that will make for a nice column.

Dwight Jaynes: Thinks it means Paul Allen wants to sell the team.

Yeah, I read this as that Stotts told him threes are fine, but he needs to defend threes and layups if he wants to play. CJ says Stotts doesn't care about threes. Stotts corrects him and says threes are good.

The question is, what would Canzano say?

Canzano would say "Threes mean nothing if you think about the office secretary that lost her job in a cost-cutting move by the organization."
