Yeah.... Dame is a top 75 player, he has earned that contract and more. That contract doesn't come into play (at least for me) at all.

Obviously it has ramifications on the teams cap, but that's so far behind other issues like trying to straddle two timelines right now.

Serious question---defensive wing/big need aside (I find it hard to believe they won't address that in FA), what's the difference between the 2020 Warriors and the 2023 Blazers for you? Steph>Dame (but not horribly), but Klay isn't all-world, Barnes and Poole can be approximated by Grant and Simons or one of the Untouchables, and that leaves Draymond and coaching. They tried to straddle two timelines and failed at that by winning the championship and having busts in Wiseman and Kuminga and likely one in Moody.

I appreciate the kind words, but it's not just me. There's this growing divide between the fanbase and it seems to be only getting worse. I don't like it. I understand that people are emotionally invested in this. I think I can see both sides, and I actually agree with both sides, but I tend to lean towards one side more than the other. I just wish that people weren't so toxic towards other fans over an opinion. I don't think someone is an idiot for wanting to keep Dame, and I don't think someone is an idiot for wanting him to go.

That's not to say that I haven't seen some idiotic takes... hell... I have probably floated a few myself, but I just wish people could disagree about the content of the post without attacking the poster.

I think that's why Dame was "Top 75" rather than "Top 30".

Thanks for trolling. I think it's arguable that Dame was as good in his prime which he's still in as Russ, Harden or CP3... none of those guys have won a chip and all three have had way better teams around them than Dame ever has. I don't think they belong in that convo either. Harden and Russ are former MVPs but they got those by stat stuffing/clout chasing. But keep hating on Dame for just being one of the top 75 players in league history and not one of the top 25.
