I do not subscribe to the notion that the blazers are a hopeless case to win.

Who predicted the 2015 warriors?

Who thought of the Raptors in June 2018 to be the following year's champs?

Did anybody project Miami to be in the Finals in 2020 and 2023?

I'm sure everyone thought bubble lottery Suns would be 2 wins away from a championship next year.

And of course the Nuggets were runaway title favorites this year, right?

Let's pretend we got WCJ in a trade this summer. Miami sucks next year and decides to start over. We can throw in the farm for Bam.

Dame Shae Jerami WCJ Bam with the right supporting cast is a contender.

I'm not saying that is what will happen. I'm saying it is convenient to dismiss the blazers, but there are paths to contend.

Also, Dame staying, Scoot amd Shae blowes up and the Blazers become their team. Dame winning as the Robin or even third best player, would still mean more.

Yeah, it's not very beneficial to the health of the forum to indignify the whole of posters here with these kind of generalizations. We can also remember we are adults here and act like it.

Also, I will say to those who seek to skirt the rules by overusing generalizations in place of insults, big brother is watching.

We're counting down to July 10th, right? When the Dame trade talk stops being "just talk" and action could possibly happen? If we trade him I do hope it's to the eastern conference so we only rack up two losses a season when he goes for 100 every time he sees our uniforms.

(I say this as someone who thinks we should trade Dame, but doesn't necessarily fantasize about it...)

The forum is healthier when everyone realizes respect is mutual. You respect others, they respect you.

There are a lot of takes or posts here that you might find imbecilic or pointless. You don't have to voice that by insulting the writers/holders of said posts/takes. Explain why you don't agree. Use your words. If they don't get it, instead of getting infuriated and lobbing exclamation laced insults at them, move on.

Usually when I explain why I don’t agree, that’s when I get the insults lol.

I think our society has been so conditioned to surround ourselves with people who agree with us politically or religiously etc and then we get on here and people don’t know how to respectfully disagree with someone. I did debate in college. I can argue any side to any argument. It’s about understanding why someone thinks the way they do.

I don't think it's even that people want to be agreed with. They want to be heard.

Does it matter why they are thinking they way they are? They have their opinion and you have yours. Opinions are like lips and assholes, everyone has them, and they are all different. You can accept someone's opinion without believing in it.

There is a key difference in arguing and debating. When you are debating, you both understand each other's side, have accepted the other's side (even if you don't believe in it), and have entered into an agreement to discuss said sides. When people argue, it's generally the result of not hearing each other. There is no agreement. That's when insults come.

It’s just funny to me how people are blind to some things but annoyed by others.

Someone posts a million variations of “Dame isn’t leaving” and they upvote that post every time.

Someone posts a Dame quote multiple times or shares reasons why they think Dame might leave multiple times, it’s annoying and repetitive.

Funny enough, I don’t get annoyed at people for their opinions on the team. If it’s something I don’t value I will skip over it or if it’s something I feel strongly enough about, I will post a response trying to refute it.
