That is funny on so many levels....

These people talking about how sick they are of Dame weren't sick of him when he gave the two interviews what they're sick of is the media's coverage of Dame. How the fuck has Dame been annoying he's answered questions asked of him on two shows, he went on his IG live to clarify that he wants to win here, then people caught an IG live with the song Miami in it. The rest has been reporters digging and digging and when there is nothing just going on and on with conjecture.

I wish this story would go away too but for those who think Dame is annoying you haven't been paying attention to just how annoying most superstars in the league are.

I could see some packages that the Knicks could put together that would make sense for us Toppin, Mitchell and Fournier who only has two years left on his deal so almost expiring and like five future firsts (theirs 2024, 26, 28 and 30 and then whatever of the conditional picks that's owed to them is first and highest to convey to them is).

What I can't see is why they would want Dame, I mean Dames better than Brunson in my opinion but Brunson is great and just 26 and cheaper. I guess if they have an offer on the table for Brunson that they really like then maybe going after Dame would make some sense. Milwaukee doesn't have anything to offer us no young prospects and just their 2028 and 30 FRPs, worse than Miami.

These rumors are coming from big market marketing directors playing chess with social media to swing tendencies that favor their franchises. I hate this time of year for the media end of it..I'm sure Dame does too. It's a bullshit tsunami.

The timing and accuracy — this account has to be a front office employee or a former employee

Or an agent or a player.
I was thinking of someone at an agency like an agent's assistant or just an assistant with a lot of info at CAA or Klutch. If it is an agent or someone at an agency they're taking a big risk because they have really restrictive confidentiality clauses and have to sign a bunch of proprietary shit. Any time I think of the word proprietary I get this visual.

This is what I believe with all my heart.

Dame sincerely wants to be here and win as a Blazer.

The only thing that will make him change his mind is if he thinks Cronin is lying to him.

I believe when Cronin says he wants to build a winner around Dame, he is telling the truth.

Drafting Scoot, Kris, and Rayan at first glance looks like Cronin is lying to Dame.

Oh, he used the picks instead of trading them for veteran players to help Dame win now.

Cronin explored trades (for Mikal) and the price is too steep that it would be a mistake to bite and so he did not do it.

I truly believe Cronin when he says drafting Scoot, Kris, and Rayan is a step to building a winner around Dame.

My prediction is we will have our big move in Feb trade deadline [Bam or Mikal, or Joel, the Heat/Nets/Phila will underwhelm and decide to rebuild]

This summer we will resign Jerami, Matisse, and maybe get OG or Jakob

I do believe Cronin when he says I am trying (Jennifer) but I don't think Dame is going to wait until the deadline. So it has to happen in the next 10 days.

Disagree. Dame won't want to go anywhere that we could actually get proper value back.

Windhorst on ESPN just now and is so confounded by this situation that he wouldn't even venture to guess what the outcome might be when pressed by Malika Andrews. This shit is crazy. That's what these guys do for a living is make wild guesses but he doesn't even have one of those.

Who knows what is going to happen with Dame? Probably only Joe Cronin because very likely Dame and his agent told Joe what he'd have to do and only Joe knows if he can or is willing to do what it takes to keep Dame... then again maybe Joe doesn't do what Dame said needs to be done and Dame stays anyway because he loves it here so much. Crazy times!

That's because, for the most part, nobody is acting logically.

Almost zero 33 year old superstars in the prime of their career would stick around on a rebuilding team.

Almost zero teams would hold onto a highly paid 33 year old while they just drafted a potential superstar at the same position.

This whole situation is completely outside of the history of the league. This kind of thing never happens.

Btw I think Dames being patient because they know teams are scared to death of the new CBA so teams are going to start dumping large contracts (star or aging star contracts).

kind of surprised the players union agreed to the new CBA seems like it’s going to screw a lot of older players

CJ is the Player President. Wonder if he will have some people pissed at him?

In other words we are being so stupid right now by neither committing fully to Dame and building a winner around him or trading Dame and starting the rebuild. Well, there's still time. The more I don't here about us making major moves or being connected to major free agents, the more I kind of feel like Joe is trying to make Dame ask out and really does just want to do the full youth rebuild. That being said, I'm completely talking out of my ass because I have no fucking clue what this roster is going to look like when training camp starts.

I think everyone is just comfortable. Dame doesn't want to leave because he has a huge mansion and he loves our city, but he wants to win.

I complain about my job all the time, and I think I'm underpaid, but my job is chill and I get to work from home so I'm unlikely to leave. I think Dame is feeling the same way. He's annoyed that we have a crap team and he wants to win, but he's also comfortable and he's paid insanely well.

But the media doesn't know what to do with this. Most superstars demand trades. Someone posted that Harden/Kyrie and Durant have requested 7 trades in just the past three years or something like that. The media loves this stuff. They look at Dame and they're dumbfounded.

So you think no matter what Joe does or more accurately doesn't do that Dame never asks out?

I think it's possible that he starts the season with the team to see how we do, and then asks out at the deadline.

But it's hard to say... loyalty is so deeply engrained in Dame's DNA, and if he feels like the team has done him wrong, I could see him asking out.
