We had success before and during his tenure, we gonna have it after too. So as much as I want him to stay, if he asks out, it is what it is and we move on. Just thank god Cronin at least set up a future. That made whatever happens more palatable.

It feels weird AF to write that, but that's kind of the reality of the situation. And I'll still cheer dame if/when he makes his return (if we trade him). He will still be my all time favorite blazer. But I won't lose sleep if he asks for a trade, or blame Cronin, because he at least aimed for the future.

This may be the weirdest time to be a blazer fan. It's so confusing emotionally lol.

Yeah, that's where I'm at as well.

I think Cronin has done well adding talent to this roster in such a short time. And Dame has done his part to help with that. I think we can win with Dame. I think we have the assets to bring back a more balanced roster that is more talented than Dame has ever had here.

But teams are going to have to want to play ball as well.

I've got no hard feelings if that doesn't happen. But I prefer Dame retire a Blazer.

LOL! It was two hours ago, so I've forgotten. The important thing is it was thrown by the letter "O"!
 
Good or bad press at least the Blazers are being talked about. Been kind of nice to hear Blazers in the news when listening to national media.
 
Btw I think Dames being patient because they know teams are scared to death of the new CBA so teams are going to start dumping large contracts (star or aging star contracts).

It seems like they should just have a hard cap.
 
It seems like a decent thought is that you get a cap hit discount for home-grown stars. For instance, Jaylen Brown can still get his 5/295M (or whatever it ends up being), but BOS gets a 30% cap discount for having 2 home-growns on max contracts.

(I'm not going to touch the aspects that "any draft or restriction on player movement reduces their free-market opportunities", because that ship has sailed in the current philosophies of revenue sharing)

Just read an article about KG telling Dame to leave, to abandon his team like he did the Twolves and join a superteam to get a ring. Smh.
