If they stay tight lipped about it the next news will be a trade that tells us the way the meeting went because it will either be a trade for a vet to make us much more competitive or it will be Dame getting traded. I honestly think that one of those two things happens in the next couple of weeks.
Well Saturday we'll hear about free agents so I'd think that could give us a good idea. If Grant goes to Sacramento or Draymond comes here it'll be obvious what Dame's doing.

Dame is staying for now. It could be conditional on what moves Cronin makes this weekend. We will see. I think Dame starts the season a Blazer.

???

Odd that this is Haynes first tweet on this situation too

But I thought he was live tweeting with Dame during the meeting earlier?

On a serious note: They're all on the same page about messaging, for now!

Best possible messaging if the Blazers & Dame are trying to build a winner in Portland:

“I met with Dame and Aaron Goodwin this afternoon. We had a great dialogue. We remain committed to building a winner around Dame.”

I still don’t think the Blazers drafted Scoot so he could backup Dame. Scoot is already years ahead of his age in the NBA and is NBA ready. I think those that think a three guard lineup will work long term of Dame, Scoot and Sharp is wishful thinking and easier said than done.

Insurance.

Has anyone thought maybe Cronin just called Dame’s bluff. I mean what real reason does Dame have to leave? He has one reason(a ring) to leave, and a million to stay. He’s built a kingdom here and could probably be King of Oregon if he wanted. I’m not saying it’s smart because two timelines is extremely dumb but I will admit the thought of him leaving made me a bit sad. I think best case he’s our Jason Kidd towards the end in Dallas. Worst case this implodes and he’s dealt at the deadline.

Well it’s what we want to hear so it must be true.

If you're in the keep Dame camp, you want to hear Dame say "I was frustrated with the last two seasons, but after more thought, I've realized Portland is the only place I want to play the rest of my career and that will be my response whenever I'm asked about it in the future."

If you're in the trade Dame camp, this is pretty close to what you should want to hear, unless you don't care about what type of trade offers they're going to get for Dame.

I seriously doubt Dame is playing chicken with Dame.

Dame's been in France. Hasn't directly been quoted.

All pure and utter speculation from the Media and no question everyone outside of Portland is pushing their agenda "Time for Dame to do what he wants, he's been Loyal" BS.

We aren't trading him to Miami. No reason to. Not enough return. Dame knows that. Everyone knows that. If, at some point, we trade Dame, it will be down the line and mutually beneficial. I don't see it happening but that would be the result.

I think all of the dreamers that want to get rid of Dame should probably let go of it, at least for now.

Definitely poses a challenge building a contender in the next 4 years but we do get to watch logo 3's for a few more years...So there's that.

Could be a last chance kind of thing, where Cronin tried kicking the can down the road and Dame said not this time. We have until end of FA to get this sorted.

Or not. I just want this to be over.
