I filter my thoughts at work and here in away. Because in both places I am representing myself...truer than many here because I use my name. That doesn't mean I throw away my convictions. Hell no it doesn't. Maybe it's not your opinion that is offensive.

Nate, It doesn't. I like your style. I like you. I just dont like how often you post the same thing over and over, trying to get everyone to agree with you. The “Dames asking out” discussion was the icing on the cake. You just would not allow anyone else to have their own opinion. You would not just agree to disagree with anyone and it got way annoying, so i said something.
It gets old man. Thats all ive been trying to say. Take it how you like. Im done with this, as it really isn't conducive to improving anything if its your way or no way.
I gave you my opinion and a suggestion on how to improve things. You do you.
If you would like to discuss further, CC is right. We should take it to pm, which i am open to.

You address yourself one way at work and your coworkers love you. You seem to take pride in that. You care about how you are seen there? You care about your workplace?

What's different here? You get to say whatever you want behind a made-up name? You don't respect the forum like you do your workplace? You come here just as much if not more. You must like it here? You must feel some connection to it? Why not treat it with the same respect?

Yes. I get paid at one place.

I don't get paid to be here. I posted that this place is transactional. I come here to read opinions and share opinions. I'm not here to make friends. I don't go to meetups (sly has tried.) I don't want to filter myself. There are so few places these days where you can be completely open and honest about how you feel about a topic.

And I do filter myself here..... if I really posted what I thought about some of you, you REALLY wouldn't like me :devilwink:

I don't get paid here either, but I enjoy this place and I have put a lot of work into making it better. I respect this form and the friends here I have made because of it.

I get it, there aren't a lot of places to be able to just say what you want to. People aren't even saying filter yourself or change your opinions. They are saying listen. How hard is to say, I hear what you are saying. This is my thought and why? That's not obtrusive. Even if the forum is just transactional for you, take others here into account. It would be a better transaction.

Listening is not something you can see him doing. You can only see him reacting.

Saying that he should post differently and listen but not filter himself or change his opinions... that doesn't make any sense.

Why is anyone trying to give someone "how to post on the Internet" lessons to a guy who's been in this community for 20 years, anyway?

Yeah Nate and others can post whatever the hell they want. If they're not insulting someone or blatantly trolling which I don't see him do. Plenty of stupid opinions all over this place.

The only people complaining about Nate are complaining when he posts something they disagree with. Thats on them.

Sometimes I find mediocre man posts to be stupid and repetitive and overly negative. I find Wizenheimer posts to be dumb as well and overlooking broader truths to highlight an irrelevant fact. I'll call them out on it and reply when they are wrong.

If someone thinks Nates post is stupid then post why its stupid and why his opinion is wrong. Attacking or crying is very juvenile and shows the poster to be the immature ignorant one at this party.

I do listen. I don't agree and I refute. Just because they don't agree with my responses doesn't mean that I hear what they're saying. It's a copout to say I'm not listening. I literally do say those words. Hell, I even say things like "I understand and don't completely disagree." This shit that I don't listen to their opinions is fake news. I listen to them, I don't agree with them, and I move on. If it gets to the point where they start attacking me, I put them on ignore. I don't know what else you want from me. I believe you were on the private conversation between me, sly, and another poster. I unloaded on them in PMs but I didn't share those opinions in the forum because I don't think it's appropriate. But if someone is going to attack me and call me an idiot, or an asshole or whatever, I'm going to return fire.

I've always hated Draymond, but if he becomes a Blazer I could learn to appreciate him. I personally have never liked guys like him on my team. Hopefully, he wouldn't be a distraction for the younger guys.
My biggest concern would be having Nurk next to Draymond. Draymond is getting older and has a lot of miles on him. Nurk is a big slug. I'd like Draymond a lot more if it was Claxton next to him. Dame-Sharpe-Grant-Green-Claxton would be beatiful.

I haven't tagged that dude Nate or quoted him until he started quoting me. Trolling comes in all shapes in sizes and mostly in the form of beating a dead horse or imposing your will onto others.

I have been on this board going on a decade and have remained low key up until the last month. I've seen regular posters get bullied on the reg. Folks know what they are doing and a lot of it is certainly calculated. I'll never be convince otherwise.

Agree with Chris Craig, folks would rather be understood than to understand.

People can post what they want as long they aren't insulting sure. Everyone gets the space to be heard and and we should take each other into account.

I will say to those complaining about Nate, is that it's not like he can stop you from having your opinion. The other solution is not engaging with him if you don't like or what he has to say.

It's helpful to take others into account though because then you can actually have a conversation and debate and not just argue and end up hurling insults at each other.

Dude, those people would have zero problem with me right now if I was on here posting "I love Dame. I hope Dame doesn't leave. I don't think Dame is gonna leave. I love Dame." They only dislike me because they disagree with me. If I was on their side, there would be ZERO complaints. It's not my style. It's the content.

I hope I clarified that as a former mod, I was not pointing a finger at the mods here. I tried anyway. I have been apart of many convos behind the scenes as a mod. I know how it works, and how much work it takes.

I hope to hell I don't add to your work.
