So the word "Meltdown has been through around a bit as of late.
It's time! Yep... Time to bring the Meltdown thread back to life!
BUMP!
Had to wait until the season started. Least i didn't get "It's only Preseason" responses.surprised you didnt bump this after the last preseason game. Lol.
The Melo concept is much worse than CJ or the new starters in my opinion.I’m not sure what people expected?
Two new starters
Five new players in the rotation ( if you include Hood)
New defensive scheme
Still have CJ “black hole” McCollum
It will take some time to become whatever it is they will be. It might be this, but who knows?

I was hoping he would be a better fit with the second unit. Has not happened yet.Which basically means we have one of them on the floor at all times and even worse, sometimes both.
"Didn't want Melo re-signed."
"Didn't want Melo re-signed."
"Didn't want Melo re-signed."
"Didn't want Melo re-signed."
....maybe if I think it enough, we can go back in time and undo it.
And it won't unless the coach explains to him he cant shoot EVERY time he touches the ball.I was hoping he would be a better fit with the second unit. Has not happened yet.
I think we should start Melo ...Whiteside played much better with the starters, I think most players do...coming off the bench I think Melo thinks he has to carry the offense ...with the starters he's a third or fourth option which at this point in his career would be fine.....I'd rather see Trent, Hood and Jones find their offense with the second unitI was hoping he would be a better fit with the second unit. This has been brought up a couple times. I have started to agree with it. Give him the Vonleh start and see what happens then play him as needed from there.I think we should start Melo ...Whiteside played much better with the starters, I think most players do...coming off the bench I think Melo thinks he has to carry the offense ...with the starters he's a third or fourth option which at this point in his career would be fine.....I'd rather see Trent, Hood and Jones find their offense with the second unit
I'm just not on board. I think we need to give these two forwards a little time to get their shit together. The payoff in the long run will be greater than playing Melo in their stead. I'm actually on the "cut Melo's minutes to around 15" club... if there is one. This has been brought up a couple times. I have started to agree with it. Good point. I'm thinking the idea is more getting things rolling. But yes eventually they will need to be able to rely on the two new forwards to gel. That will not include Melo. Yes, another reasonThe Melo concept is much worse than CJ or the new starters in my opinion.
I'm with you on Gary completely. I think Zach is going to get serious run when he gets back because he has that foot speed that you are saying we need. As far as an agreement with Melo's agent goes, this is the fucking NBA... if you can't cut it then the agreement is off the table. So unless Melo can start being efficient with his iso or start passing, making open threes and giving it everything he has on D... the guy can sit his ass down.I think Stotts feals obliged to play Melo and maybe he is per Olshey's agreement with Melo's agent, but I don't see how this benefits our team. Even when Zach is back i still think Melo-Kanter will be the bench duo. We need quicker feet from the bench.
And what was this BS with Trent? How on earth they think not playing Trent benefits the team?
Keep sitting Melo the last 10 minutes of games, eventually he will ask for release and problem solved.
It worked. Maybe keep sitting him the last 10 mins and use his knowledge for what he sees on the court?Keep sitting Melo the last 10 minutes of games, eventually he will ask for release and problem solved.
Both Melo and Kanter...I seriously think they should waive Melo now so he could hook up somewhere else. Between Giles, Nas & Collins they need minutes to develop.Giles, Nas, Trent playing in the second unit has much more appeal to me than playing Kanter, Melo, Hood.
I mean where are Zach’s min coming from when he gets back? Melo and Kanter right?
Bump!
So much to meltdown about!
Melo (Check)
Nurk (Check)

STOTTS! (CHECK)
He did only take four shots in the win against Sacramento. It's interesting that in two of our best games of the season, one he didn't play in, one he only took 4 shots.......And it won't unless the coach explains to him he cant shoot EVERY time he touches the ball.
Can you really meltdown again if you have already melted down? We're melted. There's nothing left to melt.
So obviously there is no limit on Meltdowns.at about 1130 today, i made myself a tunamelt.
I ate half aNd put the other half in the microwave and went out and filled up the yard debree bin. I came back in, showered, started some laundry and then pulled the other half out of the microwave, tossed it back on the frying pan aNd melted it again.
I just finished the other half.
It was fantastic!
