Merged: |0fficial| Trade Deadline

This year nobody did it but last year

KAT
Deangelo Russel
Okafor
Myles Turner
Devon Booker

All in that point range

8 players in double figures

Yeah, but you also specified solid defense. Russell, Okafor and Booker were all awful on the defensive end.

Nurkic with 8 minutes tonight, none in the second half. What is Denver waiting for?

Probably a good offer. They may want to move him, but they may not want to give him away for free.

I dont see how offers are going to get better the less he plays and the closer we get to the deadline. The market will just get more flooded, especially with bigs.

They certainly are killing his value. Kinda like how we killed Leonard's value by keeping him after the Memphis series (hindsight is a bitch).

It's not hindsight. I was posting in his 2nd year that we should trade him fast to get a late 1st, because some teams hadn't caught on yet and would go by his draft rank. Some on the board didn't think we could get that much, even then.

It just depends on how desperate they are to get rid of him. If they're not desperate, they'll just hold onto him and play him as much as they think helps the team and wait for a team to offer something they consider reasonable.

They may not be trying to raise or kill his value--they might just be running their personnel the way they would normally while letting people know that Nurkic is available.

There killing is trade value if they up his trade value play the guy. Right now they might get player lower 1st or a 2nd. But closer to the deadline there going get less value for him. Or they can wait for the draft to see if they can get a 1st round pick for him in the deep draft.

It has been reported, probably several times now, that Olshey is not interested in trading for Cousins and Noel due to character issues. I get the character issues with Cousins, and agree. His issues appear to be locker room issues, not what we want. HOWEVER.

Where did the character issues that Noel is supposed to have come from?

The only thing I have heard is he wanted to play more. And when he does play more, he proves he should be on the floor. Is that a true character issue worthy enough to not trade for him??????

Guess I am questioning how legitimate the reports are on Noel's issues, and where did they originate? What am I missing here??

Is "Noah" in this post supposed to be "Noel"? Or are you talking about Joakim Noah...?

I not sure I put a whole lot of stock into these or think they make someone a character risk but here are some:

Could be NO/agents deverting interst away. Hope so

If you mean Noel, I assume they're based on this.

"Suzanne and William Bredt allege that Noel left $42,000 in damages and "a Halloween tombstone as a death threat against litigation."

OMG!!!! He left a Styrofoam Halloween tombstone as a death threat! Hello PapaG, better call your attorney!!!

BNM

There's no way Milwaukee is trading a top-ten pick in a great draft for Crabbe and Leonard.

In general, "our garbage for your awesome asset" trades are never going to work.
Top 10 as in Top 10 Protected...

The Suzanne and William Bredt complaint against Noel was written by an attorney trying to get as many $$$$ out of the law suit as possible. To say attorneys exaggerate their claims when filing lawsuits would be too kind.

There is nothing in the lawsuit that says Noel caused the damage or used drugs. As someone that has had rentals in the past. Damage to rental property is often done by others that visit, not always by the actual renter.

Noel maybe guilty of using bad judgment when picking friends. But nothing in the lawsuit claims he used the drugs or damaged the property. Only that he is responsible for the damage to property he rented. Everything else including drugs and tombstone has been thrown in to make him look bad.

Has Noel ever tested positive for drugs?

What would you give for Melo? His stock isn't super high and he would at least be a better scorer than Hark or Aminu. Defense...... not so much.

Cleveland turned down Love for Melo. Supposedly.

A Dame, CJ, ET, Plums, Noel starting 5 would be interesting. 4 good passers to throw lobs to Noel.
Now could a combo of everyone else, including draft picks do it? I would think so
The spacing would be atrocious.

The spacing would be atrocious.

Agreed. The only way to make that lineup work is to get a power forward who's good defensively and can shoot from the perimeter, rather than Plumlee.

Vonleh if he actually develops? 10%, 20% chance?
