Pels already offered Jrue Holiday for Okafor last week. Apparently deal is still on the table.

I didn't know that. Wouldn't be a horrible deal for them, and probably better than what the Blazers could offer.

Lakers might be offering up Jordan Clarkson. That's not a terrible swap.

He's also a UFA after this season so it could be risky for them. Probably the only reason a deal didn't get done already.

Pels didn't offer holiday, that's just who the sixers wanted. That's why talks stalled.

Yep. Pels only offered Ajinca and 1st rounder (and not one this year I pretty sure).

And why are we sweating Okafor? I mean he's an ok buy low candidate but we don't really need him. I'd rather have Plumlee at center. Okafor is Al Jefferson.

Agreed. Last thing we need to do is make a move for the sake of making a move. Especially when it is going to cost us a pick. Although if we are ABSOLUTELY sure we won't have Plumlee next year then maybe it is worthwhile. I have never liked Okafor much personally but all signs seem to point to Olshey being high on him.

If we're going to get a center Nurkic is much more worthwhile. He's probably cheaper than Okafor too.

I'm not a big Okafor fan, but I'll take him over Noah in the starting lineup. I'd give the Cavs pick and whatever filler for him. He did average 17/7 last year before he fell out of favor.

Olshey seems to really value having a post brute, considering this and other trade/signing crushes. Okafor isn't really even good at that yet (despite that part of his game supposedly being NBA-ready from day 1) but he does have the potential at least. I'm not a fan, especially since he'll only make the defense worse.

Didn't we have reported interest in Okafor last season? Or was that this summer? What would we even give up? I would absolutely hate it if we gave up Vonleh, especially for Okafor.

Not that I think this guy is some insider or anything but it is common knowledge we have tested the waters in an Okafor trade before. Doesn't mean we will get him this time around though.

If I had to guess I think Okafor ends up with the lakers. Clarkson for Okafor seems like a pretty good deal for both teams. I know they have Mozgov but Okafor is still on his rookie contract so whatever.

Would ajinca and a protected first really be more appealing to philly than Ezeli and a protected first? I mean I guess it depends on the protection but Ezeli represents bigger savings for philly than ajinca would, who's still under contract for a couple more seasons.

@JCameratoCSN
While no deal is imminent for Okafor, talks progressing, more advanced than previous ones with Bulls and Pelicans, according to sources.

So it's either Denver or Portland...

The nuggets?? That makes no sense. Maybe a three way deal?

To Denver: Okafor

To Portland: Nurkic

To Philly: draft picks from Portland and Denver, and Ezeli?

Still doesn't make sense.
