Nurkic and three picks vs Okafor and one pick is such a discrepancy that I think Olshey was just using Philly to get a better offer from Denver.

It was a brilliant play on both sides. We still are gonna get Okafor. Its just now we got each of them at a 10% discount if they hadnt been played on each other. Niether GM would think we want both, so they sell cheaper to make the move they wantto make. But we want both. Now we can go to Phili and say, we will take him but only on the cheap cause we now have Norkic. But if you want him off your hands for say... our Cleveland pick, then you need to take either Crabbe, or Leonard and Aminu off our roster and we will take Henderson back.

It would help clean up the salary issue a bit too.

This would be true, but the assumption here is that no other team would offer anything better for Okafor. I don't think his value is THAT low, but we'll see.

We offer our pick? Top ten protected? Thats way better than CLE's. Man if Olshey cold pull something like that off, all thats left is finding a solid PF. Turner Harkless is a fine enough duo at the three I think. Need a stud Pf and wed be set.

I would never offer our own pick for Okafor, even top 10 protected. Cleveland pick at most.

Dammit. Okay fine. Memphis pick then. It will be in the low 20's. (Sooo nice to have options!!!! lol)

Dammit you guys. cant we just push our dead weight off on thier docks and swoop down and just hand pick our needs?
All your damn reasoning. lol

So Crabbe/Leonard and our memphis pick for Okafor/Bayless and one of their inevitable top 15 picks.

Wish you could include picks in the trade sim.

Pokerdog and tpup our resident security dogs sniffing out the truth!!!
Let not one falsity enter these halls!!!!

Okay, well Tpup more than Sly. SLy is too busy hitting on chicks at the Vegas tables....

No.

Crabbe for bayless and a first round pick is whay we should be doing with the sixers. Bayless only has 2 years left at 9 million per.
Who's 1st? Philadelphia's? Were not getting a top 5 pick for Crabbe.

They have a 2019 pick from sacramento. If they dont want to do a first i would take a couple of their multiple 2nd rounders they have

Umm now your omitting things Bones. I said BUTLER and Quarterman to fill the void of Paul. meaning a couple guys who can handle the ball and one who can score and play D. Butler alone is not quite, but close to the value of CP3. I also said toss in a pick to make it hapen.
Aminu and Vonleh are power forwards, so they fill that hole.
I never said they were the same talent. They get Aminu who can start now and Vonleh who still has potential and maybe they can be sold he might be their next Griffin. NO is a salesman.

If LA is looking to blow it up, then they are looking for smaller contracts and picks.
What are YOU talking about? lol. give me substance as to why you don't think it wouldn't work. We can swap bodies in the trade too. Do they want Harkless instead of Aminu? Sold. Everybody somewhat solves their problems. Chicago gets rid of Butler and sheds Rondo. LA blows it up and starts working for the future when GSW is on the way out. and we get what we need right now to compete with GSW. Blake is a good passer. He could serve as a mid range PF for us with Nurkic inside. With Turner and him having Dame and CJ's back and Nurkic being a towering end all, I think we will be fine defensively and thrive offensively. We would be a top 5 offensive and a top 15 D. That is a contender.
Coming from the king of wild trades, I thought I might get a little support from you at least. wth???
Also, both trades were successful, IMO. ;)
How would Quarterman fill any void left by Paul? The only void he'd fill is the one behind the bench.

LA isn't looking to blow it up though.

If Chicago wants to get rid of Butler why would they go older with Paul?

My trades arent as far fetched as this though! Lol.

I am completely shocked we almost had Okafor. I wonder what the snag was?
Here is a theory that could only be proposed by someone like me who is obsessed with getting Jimmy Butler. And it is interesting that Chicago was listed as one of the few teams interested in Okafor. As you may or may not recall, I proposed a three way with Chicago; by trading Crabbe's big contract to Philadelphia and sending Okafor to Chicago, this enabled Chicago to completely blow it up, offloading Wade and Rondo contracts to Portland along with Butler. I believe this is the one area in which we had an advantage over Boston.
However, if Chicago suddenly had cold feet, that would explain why Portland didn't trade for Okafor. It could be that Chicago wants to wait to the end of the season to see if Portand lucks into a top 5 pick. (however, would this mean Portland would lose Ezeli's expiring, making the trade not possible?)

Interesting. It wouldn't have to include Wade/Rondo - simply swapping Crabbe/Okafor/Butler works (with all three picks going to CHI):

If CHI wanted to dump Rondo, we could include Aminu to make it work - I believe Wade has a player-option, so he's basically an expiring contract:

I think if Chicago really wants to blow it up, and they should, my many times previously posted trade is the best. It clears two burdensome contracts, gives them back only players 22 or younger and draft picks. If we actually did get a top five pick, this would almost be too much, but it would beat the pants off anything Boston can do. Ed Davis they can easily trade for at least a 2nd round pick.

I think you are right about Wade Contract; we could take Lopez from them instead but I think they can trade that (in fact are trying to) so my big trade really isn't necessary.

I would probably go for this; I don't want to trade Aminu if we are going to contend, and I don't think he has much value to them.http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=gsm2bqe

In fact don't need to include Napier. http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jxlnuj7

And if there is no advantage to them getting rid of Wade, then it will be easier to do the deal at the end of the season, without the Ezeli contract, Davis can be included instead.

I still don't understand why Chicago would trade Butler?

Also does Chicago want to take a chance on Wade exercising that 23 million contract? Can a guy with his declining health and production get more?
