The common person outside of Portland might think so.

But, we've all witnessed the "little" things where Nate and Kevin clashed. It got so bad, that they both once said, "We've agreed to disagree". That's a clash, any way you look at it. One of them had to go, and Paul Allen loves Nate. Paul Allen might have even blamed Kevin Pritchard for Nate turning down a contract extension, which may be true for the reason Nate turned it down.

One of them was definitely going to be fired. I think we all knew it. I think most of us our surprised it wasn't Nate.

This also opens up Paul Allen to re-offer Nate a contract extension. Bet that offer comes within 3 months now that Pritchard's gone.

With Paul Allen's "gift" for timing, they'll probably announce Nate's contract extension tonight after the draft during the "Pritchard is fired" presser that is scheduled.

That way, Nate can be blamed for running Pritchard out of Portland.

Here's the bottom line and I don't care what a dick I sound like: Paul Allen is going to be dead within 24 months from cancer. I was a fan before he bought this team and I'll be a fan after he estate sells this team. He never knew how to get out of his own way. I look forward to the new ownership group.

Hahaha, I had to read that three times before I realized you were talking about the Blazers. I thought you were saying you were a fan of Paul Allen. I was confused.

Classic. Ferrengi use some logic as well, at least when it comes to money. These are the guys that gave ZBo tons of money and overpaid Darius by 200%. They might be not even be that!

His dismissal ended what had become Portland's most talked about, yet confusing soap opera, as nobody -- including Pritchard -- could put their finger on why Allen had become so disenchanted with the executive he once said had "the golden gut" for player moves.

Seriously? He has no idea why Paul Allen was pissed at him? I'm going to have to call bullshit here. Paul fires KP's good buddy and right hand man, and then tells him he's no longer welcomed sitting next to him at games... and KP has no idea why? If you're significant other came home and told you they were fired but gave no reason why, wouldn't that seem odd to you?

Right or wrong, KP fell out a favor with Allen. And considering the timing of last night's firing, it was obviously personal. But don't tell me KP had no clue as to why this was happening to him. I don't think KP is being very honest here, just say'n.

Agreed. The fact that he says he does not know, makes me believe that it is something he would rather not reveal. Same thing with Blazer management, they rather would not say what it is.

It's probably best for KP that the truth not come out. Right now he is a top 10 GM who got screwed and fired for no reason. PA is the bad man and an idiot for letting him go. PA probably doesn't give a shit what people think and KP is looking for his next stepping stone. Best to keep it the way it is.
