Sources said Monday that the two sides had already been negotiating toward a new deal that would keep Camby off the free-agent market this summer.

One source said a deal, if completed, would likely span two years in excess of $20 million.

2 years 20 mil is a tad rich for my taste, but it's not my money plus a lot of teams are going to be in the running for his services at that price if he makes it to FA.

If this group can stay healthy and build a good rythm, I see no reason why they couldn't contend.

Wow, that's a lot of cash. It's probably what they need to do, but I was hoping for something like $8/$7 rather than $11/$9.

If he can continue to play like he has for the next two years then he would still be a good deal at that price. I'm just not sure he can keep going like this.

A 2-3 year deal would be awesome for this guy. A solid rotation of Camby, Oden and Aldridge would kill! Sprinkle in some Pendergraph and Cunningham or Howard and we're set with young and old front court players.
