I suspended his account for 7 days. His posts about Maurice Lucas were outrageous.

I'll leave it up to the Blazers mods/staff to decide if the suspension becomes a ban.

IMO, he was mocking Maurice Lucas' death, and using it as a tool to intentionally rile up forum members.

It was purely for shock value. Terrible.

We're quite open about how we do things here. This is the reason, and he posted something like that in more than one thread.

Some of you knew Lucas personally, and certainly the players did. It's amazing they played as well as they did in their grief.

You guys have to give us time to work. The posts were deleted almost immediately, but it takes time to delete the post, and all the subsequent posts that quote the deleted material. At least give us a couple minutes before you start bashing the staff and the site. Thanks.

Well to be honest that doesn't seem ban-worthy to me. As long as he isn't disrespecting Luke he can say pretty much say what he wants about the team. It's a free country after all.

Please don't argue just to argue on this. It was a ridiculous post on Mixum's part. Using Maurice Lucas' death as a tactic to rile people up is despicable and further illustrates just how much of a troll he really is.

Not a bullshit suspension. 7 days isn't that long. As much as I don't like him, he shouldn't be banned. But the suspension was fair. It was only going to escalate.

Different forums have different standards. That should be okay. One of the standards that this place has held sacred is the right to say pretty much whatever you think, and use whatever words you wish. Having a policies like that can lead to conflict. Denny and the mods here have done an outstanding job managing this policy in a sane and level headed manner....even making room for a pot stirrer like Mixum to provoke conflict and stimulate discussion.

Mixum has this time crossed the line of human decency. The staff here responded and the appropriate choice was made. By using the death of Coach Lucas to promote his anti Blazer agenda he went too far. I don't think he should ever be allowed back here.
