It's sad that it took something like this to finally open the eyes of some. I think the main reason I love this place so much is because you can basically say whatever you want.... but this person used the death of a very good friend of mine for the purpose of stirring shit up. That is flat out disrespectful!

Yep, I have to agree. I'm about as liberal as they come when it comes to allowing people to post what they want. However when Nate showed what MIXUM had actually posted it got to me a little. It was clear that MIXUM's sole intent was to irritate people and not just to offer a contrarian opinion. He stepped over the line imo.

It's sadbecause I respected Mixums opinions I just didnt respect the way he delivered them. He could have delivered them in better ways.

Same message gets across in just a more mature way. I'm not saying I've never yelled at how much someone is pissing me off, but it's just rude ot me to get on the message boards and insult them rather then critique them.

It's a simple calling out of a team that brought nothing at all tonight and quite frankly folded up their tent before the game began. I, like Mixum, feel bad for Luke that his team phoned it in on a night that they could have made a statement of respect for him by their play and effort.

The only ones using Luke's death for ulterior motives are the mods who banned Mixum for being accurate in his assessment of the team and it's place among the league. He aggravates many homers here simply because he is right about the team more often than not.

A lot of me agrees with this post. I don't see how MIXUM disrespected Luke in the posts that NateBishop saved. Again, I don't agree with the decision, but I accept it because this isn't my board. Outside of Aldridge, the team played like shit tonight and barely tried. Very un-Luke, IMO. Suspend me if you need to do so.

Mixum was talking about lack of effort, not lack of skill or talent.

Luke didn't like to be called Mo. If you knew him you knew that. Maybe that's petty on my part, but I did know him. The other thing is that MIXUM chose to mention Luke in his posts for the sole purpose of irritating people. That is obvious to me and it bothers me.

Or, perhaps they were affected by his death and didn't feel up to playing a basketball game after the death of a close friend? Maybe?

He was suspended for seven days. Feel free to take up the cause for him though, if you like. Perhaps Jesse Jackson would lend a hand?
