There's a reason this idea was used in the NBA dunk contest, because its a lot harder to get footing off a human body and its lot harder to get a good vertical off a human body.

Somethings I remembered just now:

Howards "dunk" last year wasn't actually a dunk, but more of a "thrown in the hoop from a distance" dunk.

And didn't Nate Robinson get like 40 tries a few years ago when he tried to do that weird jumping up and down toss it off the backboard dunk?

If you're going to have judges who judge dunking, shouldn't at least one of them actually be a really creative dunker? None of those five (including Nance) was a creative dunker.

Oh my God, I have several black friends. My comment wasn't meant to be taken that seriously, lighten up. However, since you brought up the judges, I do believe I saw the two white judges give him a higher score than the others, take it for what it's worth.

If people on this board want to bring race into the NBA's dresscode rule, then I can at least bring it up in this disgrace of a dunk contest. But I don't think race had anything to do with it.

On the second dunk the two white guys (Chambers, Majerle), and KJ gave 8's and Cellabos and Nance gave 9's.

The Nate Robinson jumping off the guys back dunk received way too high a score.

I don't think it was a racism/xenophobia issue as much as the NBA wanted David vs Goliath in the finals. That is the only way I think one can reasonably explain why JR Smith's first dunk scored so low, and why Nate Robinson scored anything north of 35 on his "jumping off of the back of another player" dunk.

Hell, if the players knew they could do that, Rudy should have asked to jump off of Pau's back, and accidentally kick Pau in the head in the process.

I did like it though went Robinson ran off the floor before the round was over to change his clothes though. that was fresh. He was pretty convinced he was though with still 2 players to go.
