Merged: Rudy bolted to the locker room after Nate pulled him (hes pissed) ....

Fuck it. I am going to head to Lucky Lab and drink some Micro Brew!:devilwink:

I can sympathize with Rudy on this one. He's the only SG behind Brandon, and Nate started Bayless, Blake, and Batum instead after BRoy went down. Kinda stupid move by coach there, but Rudy has got to play better.

Batum played himself into the starting lineup. Rudy has to do the same. He has been given plenty of minutes to prove himself. If we can get good return, I would be for trading him because he is never going to succeed in this system.

Something isn't right with Rudy. I don't know if it is mental or physical, but he is gun shy taking it strong to the basket.

I watched one time where he totally pulled up when he could have drawn the foul and overall he doesn't sem to be as quick and aggressive as last year.

I've heard the argument that without consistent minutes he can't get back on track, and I hope that is the problem. But even last year Rudy was the enegizer bunny on roids . . . he made things happen very quickly when he was in.

Persaonally I think he is mentally messd up with the idea he could get hurt again.

Re: Rudy bolted to the locker room after Nate pulled him (hes pissed) ....

Maybe Rudy is playing like shit because he wants to force an out.

LOL! That makes sense, "I'll play crappy so more teams will want to trade for me"?!?

Rudy sucks right now. Blake, Dante, Batum are all playing better. If Rudy wants to play, he needs to perform. This offense is not his style, but I am also not so sure that he will ever become a great NBA player for a few reasons. He is physically weak, too emotional, and let's face it the guy cannot create his own shot that is high percentage.

Well, good thing we have Jerryd emerging, as well as Nicolas and Martell who could take Rudy's minutes. I have no problem dealing Rudy if he is unhappy here.

And Rudy sucked last night. He didn't deserve PT.

This is a fail by Nate.

At the beginning of camp roles should have been established. Instead, he flip flopped the line up and never set anyone in a role.

So, is the surprisingly solid play of Batum, Bayless, and Cunningham a success by Nate?

No it is a result of other guys being hurt, because for some folks Nate can do no right.

You've got the order backwards

Oh, I see how it is. I've been in another Blazer community for years. It's hard to budge opinions set in stone. I take it mediocre man isn't a fan of Nate. No biggie. Nate has his faults and he has his positives, just like any other coach.

Batum, Bayless and Cunningham are on this team because KP drafted them. They are getting playing time because they have to, not because Nate wants them to. We are talking about an Assclown who wanted to start Blake over Miller for God's sake.

During preseason I was saying the same thing, but at this point that has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

The endless amount of injuries, and now the return of some of the injured are the reason roles haven't been established. It's not rocket science.

I've always loved Rudy's game, but the last week or two he has been absolutely putrid. After the way he was playing last night I told myself there was no way Nate would keep him in the game to start the 4th, I was wrong. I had to turn the game off after Rudy's horrible shot to start the 4th. Not a shock he was pulled soon after that.

Rudy has nobody to blame but himself. His numerous attempts to pass through the opposing team as if they weren't there have all gone awry. And the way he's been shooting I sometimes wonder if he's drunk. It feels like half of his shots are nearly airballs these days, and the other half are bricks. And I don't feel I need to mention his defense.

I sure hope he can turn it around because I like rooting for the guy. But maybe he needs to go.

As I said, a coach can't please everybody 100% of the time. At least if a person is being objective.

Re: Rudy bolted to the locker room after Nate pulled him (hes pissed) ....

You could have said the same about Drazen.

I agree. Everything that ever happened to Drazen will happen to Rudy because they are both Euros.

Now THAT'S logic.

Poor Nic Batum.

Quick is Mixum, but you guys knew that already, right?

The report I'm hearing is that Rudy simply ingressed the locker room to use the mirror after some groupies chased him around on the court and mussed him up. When Pritchard dragged him back by the hair and risked tarnishing Rudy's trade value with bald spots, Rudy got hot as a cucumber. I didn't hear the whole thing, but Pritchard just made his own job of trading Rudy by next season tougher.

The Blazers draft by committee, and he and Nate have equal input according to KP, but then what does he know? :dunno:

Someone needs to get into Rudy's head and figure out this guy. Its obvious Cunningham and Pendergraph are making statements so far and Rudy is in a mental funk and needs to get out of it. If he doesn't fix his attitude hes going to be traded next season.

Re: Rudy bolted to the locker room after Nate pulled him (hes pissed) ....

Did Pritchard drag him back by his attractive hair after he had played his lousy minutes, or before? If before, that explains why he sucked in the game.

I found out when. It was before the part of the game when he played badly, so whatever caused the walkout was the cause of why his overall stats sucked.

Beginning at the start of Quarter 2, Rudy played 4:01 and had 2 fouls, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 turnovers, with a +/- of +2. As soon as he was subbed out he went to the locker room with Pritchard following.

Beginning with 1:13 left in the 3rd quarter, he played 2:29 and shot 0-1 FG and had 2 fouls, with a +/- of negative 12. When he went in for Blake, the Blazers led 83-61. When he went out (Blake came in), the Blazers led 83-73. So the Suns had a 12-0 streak while he was in. It stopped 7 seconds after he left. During his time in, Rudy fouled Grant Hill while Hill got a defensive rebound, missed a 22-footer, and fouled Dragic as Dragic put in an 8-footer.

Total stats 4 fouls, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 turnovers, shot 0-1 FG, with a +/- of -10.

He was subbed out early in the game after consecutive possessions of a really crappy attempted alley-oop pass, then playing "Ole" defense that had both the Mike's laughing at him and saying he was going to get hassled by his teammates for it. They commented right after he was subbed that he went directly to the locker room. Then one of them said it was probably because he caught a cold when his man blew by him...

So I wouldn't really say that he only played badly after the "incident"...he played bad early, was subbed out, stormed off, re-entered later, played badly some more...
