Draftexpress has us taking Patton, Anunoby and Giles right now with 15, 20 and 26.

I would be ecstatic if this happens and don't want to trade any of those picks if this is how it goes down.

The question is, can we develop those guys to bigger markets in around 4 years or so?

I think I would take Bam over Giles.

I think I would too. But I also think he is rising too fast.....so he will be gone by 15, but then which player projected to go higher will fall? Mitchell? Probably Kennard

Maybe take both Giles and Bam and hope you get a steal with one of them.

"Adebayo is a complete freak of nature in this category. He has a Dwight Howard type of build with wide shoulders and like Howard he’s quick off the floor. Adebayo showed his explosiveness time and time again during his time with Kentucky, routinely catching lobs from De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk. It’s not all run and jump plays for Adebayo however, he showed the ability to play on the perimeter defensively and hold his own when defending shifty guards on switches."

WTF... with all the action that has already gone down, not even one Blazers rumor... What is Neil doing??

You figure with 3 draft picks we should here some types rumors. I know Neil is type lip so if anything going down so is a possible trade partner.

One thing on the Howard trade worth mentioning I think. Writers are speculating that it is almost a guarantee now that ATL picks a Center with the 19th pick. So if we go swingman at 15 and have a specific big guy targeted at 20, the Hawks could just beat us to the punch. Now this assumes we also don't end up dealing the 20th pick so a lot of assumptions but it interesting none-the-less.

Who knows how the draft will go, but I'd be surprised if Bam went ahead of 15. I guess Miami and Denver are possibilities but i doubt it.

I still think we're trading up.

Shocking to see French 6'5" PG Frank Ntilikina all the way down to 14 in the latest DX mock. If he drops farther, how would Blazer fans feel about him being selected at that spot as "best player available" despite not being at all a position of need?

Just wanted to point out that Quick's report,
https://www.blazersedge.com/2017/6/...blazers-trade-rumors-nba-draft-meyers-leonard

I’ve talked to some agents; the word is—coming out of Portland—is that Portland wants to keep No. 15 but they’re looking to trade 20 and 26. The Blazers, right now, are trying to shed salary. I think that’s going to be Goal No. 1 going through the draft. They’re trying to execute some trades where they can unload some salaries and get a little more flexibility, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see them package 20 and 26 maybe for some future draft pick, something along those lines, but I think they’re pretty intent on keeping No. 15.

contradicts an earlier report that the Blazers were not impressed with what they saw on Monday (unless they saw something they really liked earlier). No idea which is true.

If we use our picks to shed salary to undo some mistakes we made last year, I will be pissed. That's not why you accumulate assets.

PA spent a shit load of $ to get those picks-- I highly doubt he will then use those same picks to save $. Makes no sense.

The thing about "salary dumps" is that they usually involve older useless players like varajaeo, mozgov, etc. If you're attaching a first (especially this year) to a 24-25 year old like Leonard, you should get SOME value back.

If Olshey uses those picks to undo the very spending he did last summer, what a waste.

Some discussion of the Knicks thinking Leonard has value and would fit well in the triangle.

Obvious porzingis replacement.

Why do guys like Quick keep saying they want to dump salary to get flexibility... no trade will give Blazers cap room... this is only about saving Paul Allen money

If Allen doesn't want to pay the luxury tax, then the luxury tax apron is a second type of cap that the Blazers can get "room" under. Probably for a Nurkic extension.
