Re: Travis= CLUTCH

TO had a total of THREE rebounds in about 34 minutes of play. I'm glad he hit two shots down the stretch, but he's the main reason we were playing from behind all night.

The MAIN reason??? Huh?

He dunks on KG in the clutch and then shoots down the league's hottest team...

....and some of you still hate on him. Why?

Some say his mistakes outweigh the big shots. I say it's the other way around.

Re: He dunks on KG in the clutch and then shoots down the league's hottest team...

stop with the travis love, for gods sake.

Re: Travis= CLUTCH

Travis = shitty shot that went in

Prior to that shot, Travis was 5-9, so shooting above 50% for the night. During the timeout, Nate calls Outlaw's number to create a shot (makes sense).

Travis gets the ball, drives, elevates over two players who don't come close to blocking the shot, traivs gets a clear look at the basket with no one to alter his shot and makes it.

And you caharcaterize this last play of the game drawn up by the coach as a shitty shot that went in. If it was Brandon who took on a double team at the end of the game and shot over them to make a basket, you would be praising Roy.

Re: Travis Outlaw Fan Club Thread

Can't believe we have to listen to this bullshit again.

Bad shot, lucky make. Sums up Outlaw's performances. He's shooting 20% in the 4th quarter for the season btw.

Re: Travis Outlaw Fan Club Thread

It was a great shot. Watch it again. He dribbles to his spot, not far from the basket, jumps up, no one can touch it, he has a clear look, and he knocks it down.

I know. You'd be so much happier if the Blazers had lost. Sorry Travis ruined your night.

Re: Travis= CLUTCH

It was not. Ask anyone, and they'll tell you that was a bad shot.

The rest of the game aside, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that. The play was designed for Travis, and he got the shot he wanted. I fail to see how that's a bad shot. He makes those pretty often. Maybe the only thing he does consistently is hit contested, off-balance jumpshots.

What's your problem with the title of this thread? The guy's one of the most exciting players we have!

Re: He dunks on KG in the clutch and then shoots down the league's hottest team...

It was a great shot. Aren't you happy? Or would you rather have seen the Blazers lose this one?

I am happy with the win. Travis came through for us tonight for sure, just don't see the reasoning for 3 threads loving Mr. catfish

Re: He dunks on KG in the clutch and then shoots down the league's hottest team...

I don't think anybody hates the guy man, he just FRUStrates the hell out of everyone on a regular basis.

very true. He frustrates me all game, but he made up for it tonight. Sometimes he makes up for it, sometimes he doesnt.

Re: Travis Outlaw Fan Club Thread

Did you really need to bump a few threads and create another one just to make a point?

You're like a 12 year old child. It's amazing.

Re: Travis Outlaw Fan Club Thread

Travis haters...
Suck it
Eat it

What do you have against 12 year olds?

Re: Travis Outlaw Fan Club Thread

Yes! Here's the thing. This shot tonight wasn't an anomaly. He did it to Memphis. He did it to Atlanta. He tied games against Toronto (4 point play) and New York. He is a proven clutch player.

Re: Travis= CLUTCH

I don't see how it was a bad shot. He was under control. It was designed for him. It was a shot he takes all the time. He got in close. He had a good angle and he sized up the defender and went up and maybe faded a bit, but that is fine as long as he was under control. He did get slightly touched on his elbow as well.

Re: He dunks on KG in the clutch and then shoots down the league's hottest team...

We wouldn't need the big clutch shots if he would not lose his man on the defensive end every game and allow them to score 26 points like tonight!

When Travis plays defense and still makes the big shot, we'll all say he's a keeper. Till then he's just making up for his no show on the other end.

Is that fair to say?

He's also proven that when his shot isn't falling he's an absolute waste of minutes.

Fair to say . . . only I don't see why that means he isn't a keeper. Some players are known for their defense (with weak offensive skills), some players are know for their rebounding, others for their hustle. Travis is a role player and his role is to put points on the board.

Every team could use a scorer off the bench . . . often that scorer off the bench has some deficiencies in their game, but serve a role.
