If it’s Agbaji and a 1st, okay.
Doubt Hendricks is available but I would do Herro and Jaquez for Hendricks and a future 1st. THAT would get me excited.

Yeah, and why would the Blazers even WANT to put out the message that they will trade you anywhere anytime you want while you're under contact." If you don't do right by Dame" "Players are going to remember that".
This is such a stupid fucking argument and everyone who uses it is a fucking idiot.
This would be a decent haul if Utah was willing to part with Collins and if Miami was actually willing to push their chips in.

We could not have gotten Collins. We did not have cap space.Collins is a negative and we have no use for him. We could have had him for pennies and we didn't go near him. No defense. Doesn't fit the culture. You couldn't ask for a worse fit next to Ayton than Collins.
We'd be taking back a young like Agbaji or Hendricks instead.

Sure, we could have. If we would have given within 20% of his salary we could have acquired him.
It was a pure salary dump. How would we have acquired him? We didn't have anywhere near enough space.
But…. The terrible Miami package was PART of that trade idea.It was a pure salary dump because he wasn't worth anything. Really good players don't usually get dumped for nothing. Now you want him to be a key piece in a Lillard trade?
It's a terrible idea. I'd rather take the terrible Miami package than him.
IMO, the most likely Herro destination is Indiana, with Indy sending Hield to Miami and McConnell to PHX.Collins would be more useful to us than Herro. I’m not seeing a ton of options out there for Herro.

You guys are getting a little a little too out there with some of these names
Collins was just traded to the Jazz for a 2nd rounder…in 2026. Why exactly does us trading for him make it a decent haul? This would be a decent haul if Utah was willing to part with Collins and if Miami was actually willing to push their chips in.

herro is way too black for utah.It goes without saying but Utah traditionally, when given a choice, goes after the good white players. Thus interest in Herro. Tell me I’m wrong.

No they won't, way too muchJazz give up Sexton, Olynky, and two firsts for Herro?
Cleveland's '25 pick needs to go to Miami & the Heat send their '24 + '26 picks back to Portland.I would consider this acceptable.

making the Suns worse comes with risk. Phoenix might suck so bad, they could sneak into the lottery and steal the Blazers draft pick.I would consider this acceptable.

What I'm going to say is not my intel but it's from someone that'd have legitimate knowledge but is specifically on one side, so don't shoot the messenger:
Apparently Cronin told Dame he'd never need a no-trade clause because he'd do right by him if he ever wanted out. Dame asked out on June 26th and gave Cronin a list of teams, and Cronin then told him "we're going to do what's best for us" and then made that public statement about having a great conversation with Dame and being committed to building a winner around him. Supposedly, that ticked Dame off and is a reason why he's only demanding Miami.
Then looking at the footnote 1A no-trade clause can be negotiated into a new contract1 if the player...
1 A no-trade clause cannot be negotiated into an extension, unless player's existing contract or extension already contained a no-trade clause.
This rumor has made it's rounds to other forums now as well.
I thought it would be good to try and set the record straight here. Dame was not eligible for a no-trade clause, since it was an extension.

Then looking at the footnote 1
Who knows what was actually said during the extension negotiations, but I thought it is important to clarify that Dame was not even eligible for a no-trade clause.
