CC – NBC has recently predicted that in 2017, all of America will be tagged with microchips. They will be implanted to help identify individuals immediately. According to the report, the technology is used to answer one question, “Am I who I say I am?”

Some worry, however, that the RFID Microchip will give the government too much power, allowing them to track every move. In some states, like Virginia, legislation is in process to stop this from happening. The report also reveals an RFID Brain Chip that has been developed and is currently being tested on several humans.

It was reported that the use of Micro-Chips in Bill H.R. 4872 was located on Page 1014 under “National Medical Device Registry” it tells about a “Class II Device That is Implantable” and yes, they passed the bill. Read Page “1014″ In The H.R. 4872 Read Class II Special Controls Guidance For FDA Staff.

With the RFID Microchip they can track the movement of the people that are implanted. They can also control the money and food of the people. It is also reported to be possible to even kill the people that don’t obey. The HR 3962 Bill is an exact copy of the HR 3200 bill in with the exception of just a few words removed concerning the RFID Microchip but the ability to Chip Every Citizen of the United States is still in the bill. I mean we basically already have this with our cell phones. And maybe implants would do good things medically. But the mark of the beast or whatever.

Capitalism?

It's more like government 1984 or THX 1138 happening in front of our very eyes with Obama fans rooting it on.

Oh, you are saying the people that work for the government? They will have to choose first probably. It certainly won't be their fault by any measure.

They will first be installing them on all Muslims, followed by blacks, followed by Hispanics. The whites will get the leftover chips, starting with the lower class until the funding is conveniently exhausted by the time they get to installing them on the white upper class babies.

I'm having one put in SlyPokerDog.

I always assumed he already had one.

"recently predicted", is 2007 still considered recent?

2010. The first bill passed in 2010. It's also part of ObamaCare which was passed in 2009.

The NBC prediction video was from 2007. The video is also not a prediction, but more of a "what technology could be in the future" type piece.

This is all loosely strung together bullshit to feed the tin foil hat crowd...... Read And Do The Research For Yourself …

Question... Let's say this becomes law. Do you think it's Constitutional?

You can call this bullshit all you want, but I have a strong suspicion that this will be something implemented in the near future. When the citizens finally support it, then you will not have a choice in the matter. It's definitely not bullshit technology...

The government will provide a cookie for all the sheep in return for wanting to implement this. Only a matter of time

To force people to wear RF id tags? No I dont think that would be constitutional. It will also never happen, can you imagine the backlash if the government tried to roll this program out? Implementing something like this would be like trying to take everyone's guns away, it just wont happen because there will be too much resistance.

Medically though I could see a benefit for certain people to opt into this, for instance if I had severe allergies to medicines, if I was diabetic, or if I had some other type of critical health issue then I would absolutely want this.

Ok so heres the thing, if you are concerned with government and corporate spying and tracking then you dont need to be personally chipped for this to happen, facebook, google and the NSA are already trackng you. Also if you have a toll road fast pass, credit card or passport then your using RFID already. Here is a great article that explains all aspects of RFID and why they are already a part of your life and how they potentially will be part of your life. Being personally chipped is the least of our problems but at least we wont have to wait in a checkout line anymore.

Let's look at a real-world scenario of this system:

  • At the grocery store, you buy a carton of milk. The milk containers will have an RFID tag that stores the milk's expiration date and price. When you lift the milk from the shelf, the shelf may display the milk's specific expiration date, or the information could be wirelessly sent to your personal digital assistant or cell phone.
  • As you exit the store, you pass through doors with an embedded tag reader. This reader tabulates the cost of all the items in your shopping cart and sends the grocery bill to your bank, which deducts the amount from your account. Product manufacturers know that you've bought their product, and the store's computers know exactly how many of each product need to be reordered.
  • Once you get home, you put your milk in the refrigerator, which is also equipped with a tag reader. This smart refrigerator is capable of tracking all of the groceries stored in it. It can track the foods you use and how often you restock your refrigerator, and can let you know when that milk and other foods spoil.
  • Products are also tracked when they are thrown into a trash can or recycle bin. At this point, your refrigerator could add milk to your grocery list, or you could program the fridge to order these items automatically.
  • Based on the products you buy, your grocery store gets to know your unique preferences. Instead of receiving generic newsletters with weekly grocery specials, you might receive one created just for you. If you have two school-age children and a puppy, your grocery store can use customer-specific marketingby sending you coupons for items like juice boxes and dog food.

I think using something like this in a private sector, or with the protection of HIPAA is fine. The consumer or patient can be assured that their information is safe. Well at least on the outside. Problem with something like this is having the government use this as the first step, then establish a monitoring system by passing laws that many overlook, then eventually gaining access to this information.

Much like the cellphone and toll bridge statement you just made. The problem is the government agencies like NSA or the CIA that don't have to answer to anyone but themselves for the most part. They can covertly use this information, then build a case after obtaining this illegal means to obtain this information.

Constitutional privacy only applies to the government.

I have no problem with corporations putting up cameras. You have no expectation of privacy when in public. What I do have a problem with is the government lining up all the camera systems from all the corporations and using them to spy on citizens.

Barfo would be proud, though.

I wasn't arguing that the government should do it, only pointing out that it is already being done. We should be worried about the injustices that are already happening rather than focusing on the boogieman.

I agree, the problem is technology is a double edged sword. The NSA is becoming the 4th branch of the government, with no checks and balances and its alarming. We wont be personally chipped but they already know enough about us to not need to.

Pitchforks and torches are the only solution.

We keep electing people that think the surveillance is a government duty.

I love seeing protests in states where it is perfectly legal to have open carry guns. There are groups that come in military attire and keep the peace against the peace officers that may abuse the legal right of protest.
