I was a little surprised to see how many facilities US still has in Middle East,

I heard Trump was at a Beach Boys tribute and heard their classic Barbara Ann and thought it was Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran, bomb Iran, because you can, bomb Iran..you got me rockin' and a rollin' rockin' and a reelin' bomb Iran, bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran

I've seen people writing that Iran doesn't have any friends as one of the justifications for this.

I think that misses that a lot of people hate the U.S., too. I worry for our forces stationed abroad, because they've become targets not just of Iranian agents, but of anyone with a grudge. And I worry about sleeper cells in our country.

Perhaps there'll be "peace through strength," but I don't think bombing Iran and tweeting "Now is the time for peace" is going to go over very well with Islamist extremists across the world.

Not saying Iran and nukes was not an issue we needed to address, but I don't think this was the best way to do it. Maybe I'll be proven wrong. We shall see.

The likes of which we have never seen….

lol dude find some new material

Congrats people of the United States, Israel just suckered us into ANOTHER war.

Billions in tax payer funds wasted at a minimum. Thousands of U.S. soldiers will die at a minimum.

Iraq took 20 years and they weren't as big and sophisticated as Iran.

When will the citizens of the U.S. take back their country from these demons?

For the past week Iran was able to barrage Israel around twice a day with approx. A 15-30 rockets at a time. They were doing it because of two main reasons: 1. The amount of available launchers (half are already destroyed, and each time they attacked they lost few more). 2. The amount of rockets available.
I anticipate this rate is not going to change that much and I expect attacking any US bases surrounding, or any US target for the matter is really not something they would want to do (other than for the possibility of being able to convey they 'retaliated' to the American attack..).
I believe these recent actions just got this war a lot closer to ending.
I understand the uncertainty and fear this situation leads to - but hopefull that very soon reality will clear out to be a lot calmer and peace enabling. (Similar to what is going on with Lebanon and Hizballah today)..

I appreciate your optimism, but I don't see much reason to believe a lasting peace is at hand. Short term - sure, you (we?) can bomb them back to the stone age.
But sooner or later, they are going to sell some oil and use the proceeds to buy more weapons to exact their revenge.
And even if they can't do that, sticks and stones may break our bones.

Iranian Jews have the same rights as Iranian Muslims in Iran. Unlike Arab Muslims in Israel. If the regime wants Jews to die/convert, why would Iran be the home of so many synagogues? Jews are a part of Iran's parliament with a guaranteed place at the table regardless of their minority status.

Again, a simple Google search would show this to you. I won't even waste my time with the rest of your downright demeaning rhetoric of an entire people.

I apologise if my comments toned as demeaning. That is not what I mean for.
Iranian jews (aprox. 15000 people) do not have the same rights. Iran enforces Sharia law, which treats Muslims and non-Muslims differently in civil and legal matters. Non-Muslims in Iran cannot hold senior government roles, serve as military commanders or work as judges. The testimony of a Jew in court does not carry the same weight as that of a Muslim, and there are different penalties for murder depending on the religion of the perpetrator and victims.

When you take a country of 90 million people and look at a 15000 people segment (0.001%) and call it as of it something great of welcoming and openess I just want to take these numbers into consideration..

Russia invaded Ukraine. Israel has attacked Iran. Those are very different scenarios.
Yes different but Iran has been declaring to wipe israel off the map for years and have never shown any interest for peace with them, all they had to do still can try as several arab countries have an thats enter in a new relation for peace and prosperity. They never been interested because its their doctrine not to. A religious hang up. Its the 21st century time to get along with your neighbors and find some common ground, its happening in some parts of the middle east. Going to be interesting to see now what the Iranian people want.

Over 50 thousand people have been killed in palestine in the last 2 years. The area has been completely decimated. Why do you never question what Israel is doing, and always support them wiping people off the map?

I wonder, we can easily question about 'correct people' and 'true democracy'.

Lets try a different game - instead of questions - I would like to hear people's optimal solution - how you guys reckon this middle east situation should conclude and how optimaly it can be achieved assuimng what you suggest happens.
I'd like to see democracies offer free and safe schooling through college in those countries, or as close as they can get.

As well as free basic healthcare and opportunities. I'd like to have seen that prior to trying to topple any governments.

And they should commit to keeping those schools and healthcare facilities there, well defended from attacks.

And then I'd prefer that we democracies actually act like democracies with regulated capitalist economies.

The US should lead the change by offering universal healthcare (Medicare for all) and universal free education options through college, and reversing citizens united.

You know that Hamas personel accounts for around 50% of that? So for a terror organisation hiding behind civilians these numbers just prove the effort IDF is doing to minimise casualties.
As I have said before - as long as Hamas keeps holding hostages - there is no reason to even consider they are being 'decimated' / 'genocided' etc. If you (Hamas) are so hurt / wounded - release them. If not - you are not as hurt as you portray.

I promise you 100% if all hostages were released - If israel were still involved in Gaza as it is now - the mobs would swoop and force Bibi out to stop the war.
As long as Hamas allows himself the keep holding the hostages - the only way to interpert it is that they think they can gain victories by dividing the Israelis and World on this topic.

That is indeed a very sad way to look at things. Because it means you have no hope for change. You reckon people will just circulate back to exact revenge?
I hope that is not the case.
The IRGC should be eliminated. It teaches hate, blaming non-Muslims for the faults of the world and incite mobs to divert from their own wealth and power.
However - the Iranian people, are far from being a consensus for these values.
Do you think that as an Israeli Jew I hate or want to exact revenge on the German people? Hell no. I wish they would also stop feeling guilt for actions they didn't do themselves. I do condone Nazism today just the same.
The fight against IRGC is just the same as it is against Nazism.
Was Nazism beaten? yes. Is it still alive? yes.
Was IRGC beaten? about to. Will it still live after? probably.
But Iran can go the same course as post WW2 Germany. No need to exact revenge or keep cycling in conflict. Reach out peacefully to the world and the society will flourish.

Careful. In six months, this might be enough to get you deported to an El Salvadoran gulag.

"Calling Iran the "bully of the Middle East" in his dawn address, Trump conveyed utter exhaustion with Tehran's provocations, culminating in a massive military investment proving U.S. commitment to prevent an Iranian nuclear weapon. This unambiguous demonstration of resolve – that America will pursue those walking this path – carries greater weight than the rubble itself.
This strike marks the definitive end to an "age of bluffs" in the Middle East, declared after October 7 – the era where genocidal terror terror groups built infrastructure to destroy Israel on its borders while we told ourselves they were deterred; where Israeli society pretended it could handle draft inequality; where our deterrence and warning capabilities were overestimated.
The most dangerous strategic bluff was Iran's: presenting as a state while effectively operating as a terror organization – funneling millions to Hamas for arming, building unprecedented rocket stockpiles via its proxy Hezbollah, aiding the Houthis and propping up Bashar Assad's criminal regime – all while negotiating respectably with the West...

It's terrible whats happened in Palestine and Ive always favored 2 State. You should look at all the Muslims, Jews, Europeans, Asians & Americans, Iranian/Hamas/ Hezbollah have violently murdered over the last 50 years. I dont want any civilized people wiped away from the earth at all, but I do not like oppressive regimes ruining peoples lives with Shari law. They are the ones that have advocated and wiping Israel off the map ever since the Mullahs and supreme leader took over because it's in their game plan. If they were interested on peace all they would need to do is demonstrate they are serious about it.

Listen at a month away from 75 Ive witnessed many ugly conflicts/wars and protested them as well.

Im an old peace and love flower and beads hippie that also hates oppressive regimes that kill young girls because they dont follow dads sharia rules, or kill gays and or those that dont practice their religion. I was happy when the Taliban left Afghanistan not because of a victory lap but that women/girls could go back to school and be shown respect, and the public killing in the soccer fields would stop because someone committed adultery or live a gay lifestyle.

I root for the Iranian people...

It doesn't help that neither Khameini, Netanyahu nor Trump are exactly known for wisdom and restraint.
Some would argue that 40 years of going- no-where diplomacy could use some checkers instead of chess. Let the pendulin swing. Let processes process.
Change is hard. Sometimes you got to make the jump.
October 7th was the push of the pendulin, the throw of the rock in the river. We are now witnessing the aftermath. And hoping good may rise at the end of ripples and swings.

Mark Kelly on Meet the Press this morning.

"It's always the person that has never actually been in the military or in combat that wants to bomb someone"
Kind of fits this situation.

The fact is most people think Iran is a very small country that doesn't like the US. The real fact is that about 25% of the world population is Muslim and most don't like the US. That equates to about 2 billion people that don't like what the US just did. Add to that a bunch of Chinese and Russians and now you have well over half the world.

Lets add that this administration has pissed off pretty much every one of our allies. I'm not sure that this will work out well for us.

Lets hope Trumps handlers know what they are doing and they can control him.
