The Mike's and Tone are canned days before the television deal is supposed to be settled.

What if the provider said that they would not pull the BS of the last contract by providing Blazer games to all outlets at a fair price but requested new guys in exchange?
 
Antonio Harvey was the worst. Cocky dude who never achieved shit in the NBA but talked like he did.... Feel bad for mike and mike though. They will be missed

Gee, Chris, I can almost hear similar words being said by the team in a few years about your job. Nothing personal. Just trying to improve that aspect of the team.

They know the Mikes are too Portland Centric so they'll try to get Kevin Collabro to appeal to long time Sonics Fans to watch the games since they can get a new TV deal. This has probably been in the works for several years, but waited until Seattle failed to get a stadium together so they would know they could expand the fanbase to a more regional area. The Sonics aren't gonna be back for at least 10-15 years, so basically the "Northwest Trailblazer" marketing campaign will be coming soon.

depends on when it is. weekends are best. don't have real concrete travel plans this summer though so I should be good depending on flight prices etc
 
I wonder if Paul Allen is developing early-onset dementia. He'll probably fire Olshey days before the draft and replace him with a wax figure of Elvis (citing a desire to connect with the fans), then be found in the bowels of the Moda Center, drooling in his undies and talking to a mop. Scary stuff. I hope his handlers get him help before he converts the Rose Quarter into a Microsoft themed art gallery or Seahawk nature reserve. Maybe an auto body shop as well, who knows. Cause he's c-c-crazy! Hopefully his next move is relatively harmless, like insisting they serve only kale and milk at all concession stands, or not allowing anyone with an age divisible by 10 to attend home-games.

If this Chris fucker thinks we are gonna like the new guys then who could it be? Honestly. Mike and mike set the bar, they will have to bring in Brandon Roy and Rasheed Wallace for me to care. Mike and mike being fired is depressing man. Gonna miss them

Getting laid off/fired sucks. Especially when there is no logical reason for it for you to lean on. They did a good job, were popular and seemed to be good company men. That would be tough for anyone

I just really hope it's not a Seattle guy. Portland is not a south Seattle suburb. I really hope the front office has enough of a clue to get the pulse of this city

I'm not sure why most people bring up Roy's name (although I have my theories as to why BGD does...and it involves medications). Roy would be a horrible choice for anything. He showed no real skill for being an on air talent. None.

Same with Rasheed.

If the team is just pandering to fans and brings back Brandon Roy (or something similar) then they've shown they have no real clue as to what the fans want or makes them fans. It would feel as though John Nash and Patterson are back running things.

Maybe we should give them a chance to hire new people before we burn our memorabilia and watch the team move to Seattle or Vegas.
